Super Nintendo World - Hollywood (General Discussion)

I feel like I should care about this more since it's a major addition to a major theme park here in the US... but unless I do a DL trip in the next few years, there's no way i'll be going to see this since we're getting out own (more complete) version of the land in Orlando in just 2.5 years.

I do hope everyone who plans on going enjoys it though.

I actually got to see a Meetable Kirby at the end of my New York vacation in Nintendo NY back in August. A very unforgettable pleasant surprise since it was my first time ever in NYC.

Anyways, I'm sure there could be other ways to bring other Nintendo properties in, which is something I hope they do to make it feel like it's more than just Mario there as per the name Super Nintendo World.

Tbf, it's going to be very different structure wise from Orlando and Japan (along with the biggest Mario Kart queue) so it might be worth checking out.

I think Epic Universe’s SNW has a little bit of a wider space than Osaka, so it won’t be quite as congested.

It does seem SNW at USH was very well designed to even out at the crowd as much as possible.

As much as I wish they tore down Panda and studio cafe, it does seem good that they still managed to be able to work around what they had, which is nice. Guess we'll see how much it holds up when the land officially opens.

For those curious about the VIP Experience, I got this response from the VIP Team:

"Thank you for your interest in the VIP Experience at Universal Studios Hollywood. The VIP Experience will include access to Super Nintendo World. Not only that, it is the only ticket that will allow you Express Access to the attraction as well as immediate access to the Land with or without your Tour Guide. "

I’m stoked for the pass previews, but the only concern I have is that I’m not going to have much time to be able to take in the land, ride Mario Kart, eat at Toadstool’s, and play the games. Apparently we’re gonna have just two hours there during previews?

I'm curious if they ever did a system like this when Potter first opened. Jurassic World and I think DreamWorks accepted express right out the gate, so I wonder if express not being eligible for Mario Kart will only be in place for like a year or two.

Cruddy thing about these previews is you can't get a plus one or link passes with others to try and snag a spot. I have like 5 people I'd like to try and go the same day with. None of them are responsible enough to try and be first, wait in a queue, and reserve a spot lol

At least you know some people with an AP. None of my friends have APs at all except my sister. Lol

Jeez, those prices aren't anywhere close to equivalent. I'd prefer to pay Osaka's prices, naturally, but greedy money grabbers at the top are likely the reason we have the prices we do. Unfair. -_-*
