Someone over on the WDW magic Disneyland forum posted a layout image of how Nintendo World in Hollywood will look. I’m not able to post the image but it looks legit. Image is found on page 61 of the “All things Universal Studios Hollywood” thread in the WDW Magic Disneyland forum.

Feels very fan made and odd to me. I hope that isn't the reality.
The Entrance warp pipe is so long I'd need a sit down once I go into the land...just weird.

I believe we can post it, because it's not official permits.

Looks fanmade. It's literally the USJ layout, including the Yoshi ride building and Yoshi Entrance. There's nothing on the top right side of the land either, when there's clearly foundations over there.

What if there is a Yoshi attraction, just not the Yoshi attraction?

A highly themed Yoshi meet n greet where we get to meet a Yoshi would work well..... similar to maybe the rumor (not sure this is an actual rumor or spec) of the Frankenstein monsters interactive meet n greet... I like this.

Could still be a Yoshi version of Freeze Ray Sliders, or some other flat ride, where they will fit it is anyone's guess though.

I'm guessing that they'll try to build the same mountain from USJ, but what they'll put inside it is a mystery.

Koopa Shells fit that theme better though wouldn't you say

Also, that image is definitely not legit.

Pretty sure the original pitch plans for USF had a Koopa Shell spinner in them

I think the Bullet Bill concept became what we see in the Yoshi ride in the long run, but yea. I think there was also another flat ride inside the Mario Kart building.

It also had a Donkey Kong play area, a Kirby Play area, a Zelda play area and attraction, a Pokemon Training Academy, and a three-story, multi-ride system show building. All fitting within the KidZone plot.

I doubt many of those plans were ever really in consideration, but instead made simply to show Nintendo the breadth of properties and concepts Universal could tackle.

EDIT: When I say consideration, I mean planned to be built rather than just concepted.

It was (largely) nothing more than a pitch. Mario Kart ride and the DK Coaster were the only two really solid concepts they had in the pitch

Good point. I think Alicia mentioned the queue for Yoshi being in the base of the mountain and as we all know the loading was is on the second floor. That does leave a healthy amount of space in any potential mountain although I'm sure some of that space will be needed for retail.

True.

Remember that Universal said they wanted each Wizarding World to have something a bit different than each other eg Black Lake In Japan, Dragons challenge in Florida (at the time) and the Dark Forest in Hollywood (or just a few trees on a hillside depending on how you look at it). With that in mind it's possible they want to do the same with the SNW's

A bit off topic but does anyone have a photo of the dark forest in Hollywood? I’ve been a couple of times and never have noticed it.

See below, the hillside is shown in Yellow. Also unique to USH is the row of interactive shop fronts shown in red.

I think that is still the plan, they only stopped construction for a while and having a Brand new land opening Spring/Summer 21 is just what the park needs to get people back post Covid.

To people who have frequented the parks recently (i.e, probably last year), is that queue space highlighted in Yellow used often?

They do use it whenever it's really busy and the line gets a little long. Longer than the queue after the lockers, I mean.

I'm sure they were aiming for more of a Spring time opening (Potter/SLOP opening dates), my guess is around July 4th next year now with the few weeks of being off track.

I've seen it used in Summer time mainly or whenever they are PACKED. If I can't walk right into the lockers part of the ride, i walk away .
