Butterbeer is one of the best drinks I have ever drank... there isn't really another drink like it. So far, I haven't heard anyone not like it, so I would suggest you try it

The recipe for it in the butterbeer thread tastes just like it. The frozen version you can buy in hogsmeade is even better. It's like a butterscotch slushy with delicious creamy vanilla froth on top. Mmm so good!

I would compare it to getting butterfly kisses from a unicorn while being tickled by a leprechaun.

OH MY GOD!!!! I just returned from my first of many to the Wizarding World and it was absolutely fantastic. I didn't want to leave.

We stayed at Royal Pacific and went to HHN on Friday night. Surprisingly we were able to wake up early and head over to IOA. We got there around 8:15 am and headed straight to the FJ. When I walked into Hosmeade, I seriously got goosebumps. And then when I turned the corner and saw the unobstructed view of Hogwarts, the same thing happened again. I could not stop smiling. The posted wait was 10 minutes for FJ but it took more like 20. As everyone has mentioned, the greenhouse part moves the slowest.

Words cannot describe how incredible I thought the Forbidden Journey was. It was absolutely perfect in my opinion. The seat all the way towards the right is my favorite. It feels like so much more of the action is aimed towards that particular seat. After we got off, we went back on in single riders and walked right on. We all felt a little queasy after the second ride as it was a rough night at horror nights the night before and none of us were feeling 100%. I went back later in the day by myself to ride it again. At around 5:45 the time was 45 minutes. Single riders took about 10.

I tried both a frozen Butterbeer and their specialty Hogshead brew. Butterbeer was awesome and I got an $11 souvenir cup. lol

I ended up spending a small fortune on other crap as well.

The whole weekend I would just hear people talking about how wonderful that part of the park was and how good of a job Universal did recreating it.

That's so awesome to hear! Glad you had an amazing time!

Well had my first experience yesterday everyone, and I won't bore you all with the same repetitive stuff but it was great! I loved the ride, a whole different experience than any other ride before. I was able to fit in the modified seat no problem at all and all the effects were working in full effect as well. Great ride, the only store that was really packed was the Owl Post and Dervish and Banges. Had a frozen butterbeer and the rib platter in the 3B. But I love the area and they need to add some sort of covering for the Ollivanders queue. When the sun was beating down, it was beating down HARD.

Yeah that wait is really tough in the intense heat. It is a show that brings in young children and those that can't ride intense rides and those people are those that need protection from the harsh Florida sun the most.

Glad to hear you had a great time Vyrus! I can't wait to go back this weekend! I still haven't done Ollivander's. Every time I went it had a crazy long line... Maybe I'll get to it this weekend :)

The wait for Olli's for me was only 30 minutes, if its only in the small queue next to it, it should only be that long. The hard part was standing under the sun in the afternoon sun. But it was worth it, there were 2 kids in there with our group and they both seemed too young to be picked, but a little girl was picked. When she didn't respond the first spell he had to kind of move her along to repeat it to get the effect. The big kid in me was hoping she wouldn't do it and I'd get picked, but she did

just back from my florida hols, it was a great ride. a great use of the mixture of media and animatronics. the line was outstanding and reminded me back to the days of kong where you actually felt immersed in the idea. the line was about 50 minutes and felt it in the heat.

my own problem was it wasn't longer going in i expected a long ride it went so quickly it was hard to make out almost all of the detailing, that and though i liked them the dementors something just seemed off

one thing that annoyed me was that when i went the wait was 90 minutes. but it was stop and go for all of the outside portions, but once we got inside, we were practically running past dumbledore and the trio etc.

That is typically how it goes because people are stopping to snap pics and it stalls a few seconds. Also its due to the effect of the way the line is set up. There is not much to the indoor lines as far as lanes and switchbacks. There are very many tight ones wrapping and going up the ramp in the greenhouse. I had a hard time hearing the trio and dumbledore when I went the other week.

I imagine within the next year or so when things slow down quite a bit much of the lower parts of the greenhouse will be cut off and maybe it will help people enjoy more of the interior parts of the line.

Finally heading to see WWOHP in a few days. I waited way too long but it was beyond my control. I do have some questions:

1) What's the new game plan? Is it acceptable to do the traditional Hulk-and-Spidey first or should I beeline straight to FJ?
2) First time riding FJ, should I take the queue slowly and absorb the atmosphere, letting people pass?
3) I'm 6'0, 225 lbs. For anyone near that range, will I fit in standard FJ seating or will I need modified? I've seen pics of the benches, and the seats do look snug.

I personally think:

1) Do as you prefer here. Crowds are down and even on peak times during weekends the line doesn't get too bad on FJ. Plus you always have the sign with the wait times right as you pass Port of Entry, so that may help you decide more than any prediction that we can make at this time
2) DEFINITELY experience the full queue for your first ride. You can always go back and use the single-riders' queue for almost no wait.
3) I think you will fit in fine. I know people who are a bit shorter than you but weigh about the same or maybe even a bit more than you and they fit in just fine.

I know you will have an amazing time! Don't forget to take your camera to the WW and into FJ! You can always store it behind you on the seat ;-)

Thanks! :rep: I'm so excited to go. I'm not much of a photographer but I love taking video and audio from my phone. I seriously can't wait. I booked the hotel Sunday and we're like 2-3 mins away. I'll miss Rockit but Potter will make up for it :)

Yeah, sucks about Rockit, but Potter will definitely make up for it  Plus you're coming in a good season as far as crowds, the weather has been quite nice lately, and now you even have a water vortex in Poseidon's Fury! :P

I can't wait to hear how your trip went! When are you coming down here?

1) I can't imagine the lines now being too bad at any point of the day. Do whatever you prefer, but definitely enter the Wizarding World by way of LC, not JP.
2) Yes, I had to go through the queue several times to see everything. Wish I could've got it all done the first time. Truely is a great queue.
3) Personally I have no clue.
