So just FYI, if anyone is planning on going to softs on Saturday, the chances seem to be dwindling. There is a check in at 10am for Annual Passholders to be a part of an "NBC Special". Many believe this to be shooting inside WWoHP, though nothing is confirmed. They will probably at least not open the land until shooting is done if this is indeed where they will be filming. It is said to last 2 hours in duration, which means it may open after noon, or they may do more pickup shots after so who knows. Just keeping everyone in the loop!

This annual passholder thing.....how do you find out about it? Do you get emails?

I'm just worried that I am not getting any emails from universal which may lead to me not getting an invite to the Wizarding World AP Preview. I've tried signing up online, and even reached out to Universal and they said that they would add me to the passholder email list. But I still have not received one email from Universal in the past 6 months. I've never been a Universal passholder previously so have no idea if they regularly send emails out or what the deal it.

Yes, there was an email but looks like Citywalk also tweeted about it.  Doesn't seem to be an exclusive passholder thing.  I received an email last night at 8:46pm.  I already received emails from Universal so it's sometimes hard for me to sort out the passholder stuff.  I think the last passholder email was January 30th?  It was promoting the Sweepstakes and announcing the HP preview event coming in March.  Before that I got the Special Effects Show Preview invite on Jan 22.  I have other emails from Universal but I'm not sure if it's because I given my address anywhere possible for HP news.  Have you checked your spam folder?  Maybe it's getting filtered somewhere?  Hidden under a different tab?  Maybe try to submit your email online again?  Sorry you're having issues.  Good luck!

This may sound dumb, but I've heard they are filming Celebrity Apprentice.

So they @replied to my question on Twitter if they were filming in the park tomorrow and said it was taking place at CityWalk.  Does this change people's minds about the soft open situation for Saturday?

That makes me feel much better! By the way, Hogsmeade is now open to muggles!!

Although it does make me wonder if maybe they'll be filming inside Hogsmeade with just their News Anchors and then cut away to the crowd at Citywalk?  They could be using both locations and they only want extras for the outside area.  I guess there's no guarantees for anything.  With the land opening today after filming I would hope the same thing happens tomorrow, maybe just earlier at noon instead of 3pm?  Fingers crossed!

My question or rather statment I guess, got passed over a few pages back. I just joined, and was curious if anyone else has done this... or are my friends and I some sort of rebels who never got caught? Because I felt pretty ninja doing this..

When we were on the ICP at Disney World in 2013, we loved going to Universal (I had an AP), but we never waited in the line outside Hogwarts for the lockers... I mean we did Single Rider always anyway, but we just would enter through the gift shop and go in the locker exit... 

Did I break some unwritten or written rule? Because, if it was as easy as it was in Orlando 2013 to do so.. I can't imagine people wouldn't be able to in Hollywood...

From what I experienced a few days ago, there is a TM who waits outside the Locker entrance facing Filch's Emporium that asks if you're there to reopen a locker.

If the special event is at 4:30 PM and the soft opening ends at 3:00 PM, that'll give them over an hour to empty out all of the shops, as well as The Three Broomsticks and the queues for both FJ and FotH.

Also, how will they kick everyone out of the land?

My guess is the same way they "kick everyone out" of the park once it's closed for the day. Close the rides and shops and have security walk through the area telling people it's closed and asking them to leave.

Man I today was weird.... and embarrassing

A cast member stopped me on single rider line inside the castle to see if I fit in the seat even when I told them I fit fine and this was my 3rd ride. I fit the test seat and they let me ride.

Then I go again in single rider, get in the ride seat and a cast member asks me to get out of the seat saying I don't fit...sending me AGAIN to the test seat, it shows i fit, then they make me get back in line.....telling me to ask for the 3rd seat this time....made me really sad....

I get the safety but it just seemed they handled it poorly and it was embarrassing.....
