I'm thinking Mummy refurb/retheme based on the new movie (if it doesn't bomb), Jurassic refurb. Not much else I can think of. Also, I now expect Potter to be a glorified sub-land like the JP complex on the Lower Lot (sigh) with FJ, Hogsmeade (Ollivander's/Hog's Head/Honeydukes), and MAYBE Hippogriff if they get really creative with space).

^ It'll definitely be more land than subland.

I think the lower lot can hold one more Transformers size attraction without sacrificing any of the current attractions.

They'd have to sacrifice one of the surrounding sound stages though. If all goes well with the expansion plan and adding newer soundstages, I think that'd be a possibility.

I was thinking about the area between the Mummy's queue/building and StarWay.

It would require a lot of work flattening that portion of land, But I think that would be the perfect location for a new attraction.  Gives the theme park an new attraction without interfering with the studio.

Don't think you can cut into that part of the backstage. It would block emergency exits from JP and cut out a backstage pick up and drop off zone for character actors.

I think you're on to something. Universal executives boasted a few months back that they aren't as landlocked as some would presume. So while that may be technically true, much of the land isn't usable - like the hill by the StarWay.

I've thought about that plot of land in the past, but I'm not sure how they would incorporate it into the theme park without massively reworking the park's existing infrastructure.

I think if Universal truly wanted to invest in the park and expand, they'd find ways to make it work. They have in the past with BTTF and Jurassic Park. While some land is definitely unusable and too steep and crazy, I definitely see potential in somw other locations. But that's all way too far in the future probably. I'd think they'd want to resuse other locations for new attractions first, like SES, WaterWorld, etc.

Ok been looking for space but then I wondered. How about those 2 buildings near tf leading to the backlot. Not the phantom but to the right. Mabye they could use that area for something like as I think tram will move to a area of park near 2017 - 2018. don't say its confirmed but one secton of that area could be used for a tram station and it would be better off for it. thinking that its on the parks radar and harming 2 soundstages whle evolution adds more. It would be reasonable. Not saying its a priority but come to think of it. That could be a good place. It could and i'd be all fine for that. and hey. Would be fine as what we heard with rumors of simpsons expanding and potter soon. i'd see that area as a good area for the park. and heck. Still in park area. Now can we please get back on topic.

I think soundstages and land terracing will not be considered for expansion unless Potter or any other expansions bring an insane amount of revenue (even more than TF now). The park will most likely move on to WW (please dear God) and SES after tackling Potter. Just my opinion on the subject.

If a new attraction comes to the lower lot, it would most likely replace one of the current attractions. I do not think they would get rid of Transformers because it is too new. I do not think they would get rid of Jurassic Park because of its custom terrain layout. There is also a new Jurassic Park movie coming out. It would most likely be Mummy. If Mummy goes away, then there would now be a coaster void in the park. It would then make sense for something like the Gringotts Bank coaster to later come to the park and fill the that void.

I really don't think Mummy is going away anytime soon. The park can't be without a running coaster.

Yeah, especially in this day and age of theme parks, there can't not be a major roller coaster at USH (I'm not gonna count Hippogriff). Also, Mummy is still popular, and a future reboot is coming out for the Mummy.

To get back on topic, I don't wanna see the Gringotts coaster at USH, despite how awesome it'll be. I want something different. Again, in our small park, there shouldn't be an oversaturation of Potter. I honestly think that's ridiculous in my opinion. There's more out there that can become an immersive ride experience. Why waste precious land at USH on more of the same theme? Florida has that luxury. We don't.

And again, this is coming from a very big Potter geek...

I think that having the entire Wizarding World is a bit of an oversaturation despite the rumored (and very likely) smaller Hogsmead.

After the hassle from marvel mania, I'm 99.99 percent sure that there will not be a citywalk entrance for any rumored great hall dinner. Also how the heck would you get in the park?! Park managers are excited for Gibson to finally be closed!

^Simple, the Great Hall Restaurant would technically be apart of City Walk. There would be and entrance to the restaurant from the Wizarding World and an entrance from City Walk. If you wanted to eat at the restaurant, no theme park ticket would be required, but you would not be able to enter the rest of the Wizarding World.

Now that the construction has officially begun, has anyone been to the park today to witness if anything has been walled/barricaded off? We need some actual project tracking to happen now. According to this update by Westcoaster (a few days delayed but useful nonetheless), http://www.westcoaster.net/2013/09/03/universal-studios-hollywood-8/, some survey markers have already popped up on the hill behind Gibson and the staging area for Potter seems to be behind the Curious George parking structure. Next trip for me should be Saturday and I'll try to bring pictures of the walls/construction.
