What is this nonsense I'm hearing that this will only be for Orlando and Japan? It has to make its way over here somehow.

It may, but not for a long time unless that's what the lower lot will be.

It probably will once USH is done focusing all their efforts on finishing Potter. Inside the Magic is saying Orlando and Japan while many other news outlets are saying all their parks so who knows. A kid friendly area would be great for the Lower-Lot.

just to point out; Hollywoods twitter has retweeted the announcement. It could be anything for that but it does seem Hollywood bound too.

I would love it if they added something Nintendo to Hollywood, but they will probably do anything at Orlando first.

As much as I love Harry Potter, this is EXACTLY why I don't want to see Diagon Alley come to Hollywood (in the near future). We're limited on land (even if the Park takes over some lower or front lot sound stages) and I'd rather see development of new rides featuring more franchises! I want to experience different adventures! I don't care where a Nintendo ride goes at USH (ideally the first one featuring Mario & Friends), I just want one as soon as realistically possible. I'm ridiculously excited about this.

(For those who haven't clicked on the video I posted above, those are costumed live Nintendo characters, I'd imagine they'll look like that at USH, USJ, AND UOR!)

Correct, and from my understanding most of what will come (to Orlando) will consist of attraction overlays/rethemed

If anything, a Nintendo ride would probably be a 3D simulation like Transformers, I wouldn't want it to be like that but I feel like they would go to that route. But they do have so many possibilities!

I would love a ride that is similar to Toy Story mania. Maybe a ride that is like Mario Kart where you sit in a car and race. Universal uses their technology to make it interactive and 3d. Imagine reaching out to grab coins etc etc

It WILL come to Hollywood, this is a MASSSSIIIIIVVVVEE deal Universal has worked out and it's been in the works for quite some time. It's good to remember that USH has an agreement with Warner Bros/JK that forbids any construction 1 year after potter opens. Japan and Orlando don't have those restrictions so those projects can be expedited with Japan likely opening first and Orlando following. We could be looking at 2020 at the soonest for any Nintendo action in Hollywood.

Can i be honest? Im not cooking for this Nintendo deal. Im not a big Nintendo fan and it's once again another kiddy product.

Who knows, maybe they will create something that will change my mind. I just hope they don't do what Nintendo did and alienate the teenage and adult crowd.

Bayonetta, F-Zero, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wonderful 101, Fatal Frame have a few words to say...

But yea, Nintendo didn't alienate any of their older audience, the opposite in fact. People think of Mario when they think of Nintendo and automatically think it's for children. This is a brilliant move on Universal's part. USH needs more attractions that cater not only to the older crowds but families as well. Universal just secured the rights to some of the most recognizable characters in gaming and in pop culture. Who doesnt know who Mario is? Nintendo is incredibly protective of their I.Ps so you know they will make sure Universal delivers something great. (Sorry if this came off rude haha. I follow Video Games very closely and have a few friends in the industry)

Sorry if this ruins the Nintendo talk going on but now the place where the tree should have been next to production central is now filled with flowers. I'll try to get a better picture later.

Kingdom hearts fan here too!!! Holy poop, I though i was the only one!! I would get an annual pass in a heartbeat if that were to happen. It might be built in WDW first though because of space issue. Also Square Enix wants a piece of the pie too.

Massive Kingdom Hearts fan since its day one release over here!!!! Disney was absolutely moronic to not incorporate Kingdom Hearts into the parks somehow. I hope they do, as it's still crazy popular to this day.

Bingo! Yeah, Nintendo has always been super protective, so this is huge. Universal WILL deliver, and Nintendo apparently has plans to produce non-game content with some of its franchises.

Nintendo isn't just for kids....just like almost everything else Universal has either acquired or uses today, it's fun for the whole family. Nintendo, and especially Mario and Friends, are super iconic, popular all over the world, and is popular across different generations to this day.

I am happy that Nintendo might be at Universal theme parks. I would want Mario kart and F-Zero. :)
