For those of you not sure that it is transformers here is something that may help you see why it can't be anything else (well it can but only if several sources are wrong and Universal has done an excellent job hiding the real plan).

  1. The location is exactly the right size for Transformers.
  2. We know there is going to be a lift and the only ride (in operation and could go there) is Transformers
  3. It seems to be a reoccurring leak from insiders.
  4. It has been highly successful in Hollywood and Singapore
  5. Stephen Spielberg even said that it was coming to Florida (Even though he said it was a slip of the tongue and was not happening, he may of been told to say that, as Universal might not of wanted people to know yet)
  6. Executives have said that they wanted it in Florida.
  7. The project being in such a rush suggests that the ride is a clone.
  8. The reoccurring statement saying that it is a clone of a ride that is already at Universal Studios Singapore.

I thought I would look further into the Universal Studio statement and rule out every option that can't go into the old sound stage 44 location.

Revenge of the Mummy: For starters the ride is already in Florida (although a slightly different version). It has too large of a footprint to fit in SS44. Also no lifts required.
Treasure Hunters: Requires a surrounding theme to actually work, so therefore would need to be built in an egyptian section of a park. No lifts required.
Accelerator: It could easily fit into the area although the surrounding area would look bare, also requires no lift.
Battlestar Galactica (Both sides): Way too big for the area, No lift required and has Sci-Fi themed so wouldn't fit in the area. Would be much better suited to a retheming of Marvel.
Tranformers: Lift Required, fits perfectly in the space, extremely popular, has been hinted at by executives and SS.
Canopy Flyer: Themed to Jurassic Park so would be better suited to IOA, no lift required and wouldn't fit in the area.
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure: Same as Canopy Flyers being better suited to IOA. Way too big to fit in the area. I am not sure if it uses a lift or not.
Dino-Soarin': Once again better suited to IOA, plus no lift required.
Waterworld: No lift required, too large.
Shrek 4-D Adventure: Already in the park, plus no lift required.
Enchanted Airways: No lift required, too big for the area.
Magic Potion Spin: Easily fit in the area, no lift required.
Madagascar: A Crate Adventure: No lift required, way too big to fit SS44.
King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round: Easily fit although would need surrounding theming to work, no lift required.
Lights! Camera! Action!: I am not sure how big it is but I don't believe it requires a lift system.

So out of the USS rides and attractions it has to be Transformers there is nothing else that could fit there. Although those statements may also be fake just like many of the rumors going around.

What if they use a clone of the Transformers ride system but the animation is tracking Kong through NYC? That would be cool and fit the theme of the area.

I know that that is not probable because we know they are trying to get the Transformers Characters in the park. And their main concern was the similarities in ride systems with Spidey. And different animation wouldn't address that issue and a Kong overlay would be more expensive than a clone of Transformers.

So as I said not probable, but it could happen AND would be very cool.

^ I mentioned that idea a few days back. If only. I'd do anything (even watch Battleship again) to have Kong back in the park.

I think what helps this idea is that much of the same movements from Spidey could be used like they were in TF. But it would be longer and more expensive, so who knows.

Kong would be awesome. But TF is just as awesome, IMO. Plus, reusing the animation will make the attraction cheaper, so I doubt they'll be changing the theme.

Plus, less money on R&D hopefully means better facades.

Transformers > Kong in merch sales. Doubt Kong is a serious contender for the spot.

Kong is good for nostalgia purposes and history.

You also have to remember, there is the rumor of Kong taking over Disaster...which would be out of place in San Fran :look:

But Kong will be, and should be back in USF someday, one day, hopefully.

Can I just take a moment to brag about getting one of the special edition Transformers the Ride posters on eBay?

Well, I had heard they want to bring him back in some capacity. I hope they do.

Just a side note...I've seen pics and video of the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee walk-around characters in USH and they look awesome. Yes they're a little bit smaller than real and yes they don't transform, but other than that they're very cool looking, and I'm sure very expensive to create!

They look pretty cool, but the guys walking on the stilts inside of them look so weird when they are walking around, they look better standing still
