Small aside here but still relative. It appears Donkey M&G is being rebuilt somewhere in the Garden of Allah/Bamba area. Keep your eyes peeled for construction.

I think he's funny. Quick witted, and I know for a fact one of the guys who played him is a big white guy which makes it even funnier to me.

that's not what I meant when I said that area was prime to be a "grand" meet and greet area universal... Donkey is alright but maybe something else could go there!

^ As I have spoken about drainage rebuilds possibly happening in odd places around the resort, let me point out that the guy in the photo above appears to be carrying a valve shut of key.

Typically though on drainage lines valves aren't used since its a gravity feed non pressurized line. Most likely he is using that on a water or sewer valve of some sorts, gate, plug or butterfly valve with a 2" op nut.

Exactly, I should have been more specific to hydrants and water mains. That said, when they change the levels of the lagoons and detention ponds, I believe they have to open gates somewhere, whether the water travels by gravity or pump.

Hydrants are a whole different animal when it comes to opening and operating but your dead on as far as the other valves, although most specs do require a gate valve right in front of a hydrant in case they need to shut down alive hydrant. Only reason I know is because the company I work for sells and supplies the underground guys installing everything they need for underground water applications. Matter of fact in one of the picture updates I saw one of our company trucks delivering some material to the SS44 job site. Didn't look like it was on my waterworks side of things though so I cant really offer any insight or anything.

Yesterday I mentioned that the Pile Driver was very loud. I think in the picture of the pile driver above, the largish lady in white covering her ears is a good demonstration of what I was meaning.

While we were at the park yesterday, a Sunday, the construction crew was rockin' full bore the whole time. This wasn't some quiet construction going on behind a wall. This was Pile Drivin', cranes going, in your face get'er done mode. It's like Universal has lost their mind.
