I'm not sure if I like Disney more or am just more familiar with and admire Disney more for the foundations they've laid. I don't like Transformers as a film franchise. I didn't like Despicable Me. I hate parades across the board. BUT who cares. I can say a parade is cute being a parade-hater the same way I can be straight and know a good-looking dude when I see one. Universal's is damn cute, and it's undeniable. I didn't love DM as mentioned, but the ride is cute and booted away a irrelevant non-Universal attraction for one of their own. Bravo. I hate Transformers, but I also hate Cars. BOTH rides look stellar. Looking at Avatar, I feel similarly. Hate the franchise, will enjoy a good ride themed to it regardless.
That's the real beauty of theme parks is that they can take something old and tired (The Simpsons/Aerosmith), virtually extinct (Alfred Hitchcock/Twilight Zone), or something just plain bad (Transformers/Cars) and make something remarkable out of it.
