Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

The conduit supports are called "Unistrut" (I mentioned it earlier in the thread). At this time I believe there will be nothing else attached to the Unistrut, I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.

Odd use of Unistrut hm? The way it angles around appears obvious, wanky, hoinky, and dumb (right now). Like putting shelving brackets all the way up the wall when you only needed a 3' bookcase.

I don't get all the"meh" reaction to the exterior themeing up to this point either. :shrug: It's not like people are going to walk by and think"man that's hideous...let's not go on that awesome attraction"

Cool..so industrial building is the look they are going for...I suppose it fits well with all the areas it is seen in..pic?

Not trying to push my opinion on you, but I don't think it's an -either or- proposition. You can ride and enjoy Transformers while still thinking they didn't give an aspect of the project their best effort. For years I thought Paradise Pier was ugly as sin, didn't stop me from riding Screamin' over and over again.

For those talking about Motion Sickness, I will say simulators have made me queazy before. My very first ride on the FJ made me dizzy but I literally jumped right back in line and was fine the following ride. I basically told my body to man up, this is the FJ damn it!

As for Transformers if you get queazy on Spider-Man your screwed on TF's. After my first ride I was sick to my stomach. The sheer amount of screens mixed with NON STOP action sequences will play hell on your senses. I highly recommend a little Dramamine if your susceptible to motion sickness.

Ginger helps also...mythbusters proved it!

Anyway, I don't get sick on Spiderman, but I DO feel a bit dizzy/queasy after FJ and can't go on more than once for a while....of course, I'm not sure whether drinking butterbeer immediately before it is good or not

But Paradise Pier did get the"look" they were after. It's a pier Paradise...not so much lol. I get what you're writing n I'm sure.Uni Creative is just teasing us and adding layer after layer just to get us all worked up. /Come next month even this building will look so much better IMO.

Looks better. Still not the ideal situation, but it looks better.

Everyone seems to be complaining about the facade...I haven't really read any good alternatives though. What would be an acceptable facade? I'm trying to use the creative part of my mind to imagine a good facade to fit in with the area and I just can't imagine anything.

This does looks like it's going in an acceptable direction, IMO. But even better would be if the building was dressed up in some sort of brick or stone, to match the rest of NY. Though, "industrial warehouse look" works for all intents and purposes.

i think it's meant to open in May or around that time. basically summer this year.
