This thread is dead to me after all this non sense. If anyone truly thinks that TF's exterior design changed during design and construction they've missed the mark. If anyone thinks that the exterior appeal of TF's is worse than SS44 then you missed the boat. If anyone thinks that outside of some themepark nerds this exterior is going to hurt guest satisfaction surveys your wrong. This whole argument has nothing to do with the masses. It's all about a bunch of themepark nerds arguing over exterior styling. It's an Eticket in the middle of the park that replaced an empty building within 7.5 months. You don't like it, fine. I have no problem with that. But quit bringing Disney, Creative, SeaWorld, the general public, President Obama, Dwight Howard and the Lakers into this when someone disagrees with you.

Even after all the articles and great insider information, this may be my favorite post of yours ever.

Sorry to change topics, but I remember at some point someone said not only will the exterior be an improvement over Hollywood and Singapore versions, but so will the inside portion. Any word on whether the ride itself will be slightly different (still mostly cloned), or is this in regards to the queue? I'd kill for a nice animatronic in the queue.

I believe it's what historians refer to as a "joke". I'm pretty sure it's a hard "j", but the proper pronunciation has been lost with time.

Yeah, I recall someone on this board saying something to that effect too. I wonder if that means more sets or practical effects in the ride portion?

An animatronic in the queue would be awesome!

wow..so many emotions over a building. Kind of hillarious.

I was always expecting the building to look like it does, with a cool Transformers sign and some giant robots out front. Not sure what everyone else was expecting.
Besides a few areas there really arent many well themed rides at USF. Most of the buildings are just that..buildings. I always thought that this was part of the "studios" themeing. You are going into a movie studio with sound stages that come alive....

Potter will be so amazing, you guys won't care one iota about the look of this when it's done. All eyes will be across the lagoon..

I also wonder what "E" means... If you look through the queue pics from Singapore and Hollywood, there's E# signs all around with different numbers:

USS version
USH version

Everything over there is now out of place. HRRR, Deco Music Plaza, Soundstages, false facades, flats, out of scale roller coaster track, 50's carhop service restaurant, Twister. I hardly think Monsters is now the straw that broke the camel’s back. If Macy's and a public park can be next to an industrial defense complex, I think a Monster's Cafe is harmless. And I agree with you, I like the interior of that restaurant.

Agreed, agreed. It's not that out of place. It would be cool to have a shiny new Transformers Cafe, but I like Monster's theming, and I prefer keeping the park a bit more diverse. Though, maybe they can change the signs. I don't love those...

JungleSkip said:
Both count. People ***** and moan about Potter's building, but a SLIGHTLY more themed version of it in the middle of USF is okay? Double standard.

I agree that both exterior theming and ride count, but what? :inquisitive: There's no comparison between Potter and Transformers.
In Transformers a warehouse building makes sense, in Harry Potter, a white block coming out of a mountain doesn't.

Time to move on from this debate. As stated, it's going around in circles. Move on and agree to disagree.

That's exactly how i feel. I was gonna say..how many rides in Universal Studios are actually amazing over the top themed buildings to begin with?..MIB and Simpsons? that's pretty much it..but like you said it doesnt matter its not supposed to be over the top because it has a "studios" themeing to begin with. So Transformers just having some stuff on the building and Optimus Prime in the entrance is what i thought it was gonna be originally. Now Harry Potter and Simpsons is going to be different because their areas are going to be majorly themed like an island in IOA. Those areas and attraction buildings will be more than impressive..
