I was at IOA/Universal today! The crowds werent that bad at all. Mostly 5 minute waits..but i finally got to see the almost complete Transformers building, and WOW, i almost forgot how GIGANTIC that building is in person. Me and my friends walked towards the gift shop and saw Optimus out front. That suit is so awesome! another cool thing idk if this happened to anybody else but after we got out of the Transformers gift shop a guy was waiting there to ask us questions. I thought it was the same old annoying crap but it turned out to be not so bad. If you agreed to go watch an unknown set of monologues skits (which turned out to be taped viewings of Jimmy Fallons skits not seen yet on tv..that were pretty hilarious) on a screen and rate what you thought about them, afterwards they would give you 20 bucks. Pretty much all the monologues were hilarious and you got 20 bucks for just watching Jimmy Fallon for 45 minutes. So it turned out pretty well and it ended up paying for my lunch at Bubbas. Anybody else ever encounter something like this before?..

We have a thread covering that topic here: http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/showthread.php?7410-Critic-for-New-TV-Shows

Orlando Informer has a couple good articles about the preview center as well, with a general info page and a review of the experience.

he made it sound like it was gonna be some brand new late night talk show and it turned out to be just 6 different Jimmy Fallon skits..but they were all hilarious so i didnt mind.

He probably made it sound like a brand new show because, news broke just this week that Jay Leno is likely to step down and Jimmy Fallon is to take over; possibly this fall.

Exactly! I imagine there are some nervous suits at NBC who would feel better about the Fallon move if they had some real feedback from target demos. Though they might be grabbing everyone for that one, I wouldn't be surprised if they were testing mostly Jay's current demo in anticipation of the switch.

I like Leno but Fallon's late night show is fantastic and I would not mind him taking over for Leno. He's a lot better than Conan at least. I think it'd be a good move for NBC if Leno were to step down.

So, has the large TF statue going up on the building been seen backstage yet? Anyone?

Orlando Informer posted some new photos and a video of the character meet and greet area, and it appears that Uni has switched those flimsy barriers for the nice metal ones similar to those in the hub. They've also moved the meet and greet area from the lagoon side to the Mel's/Shrek side of the Transformers building, with the employee break area now in between the Mel's restrooms and Shrek building.

^ Thanks, that is great seeing them walking, although poor Bumblebee did seem a wee bit arthritic. This has to be the most expensive meet and greet I have ever seen. Look at the number of employees involved! What is it, 5,6,8? Plus the backstage folks to get them out of those incredible outfits.

And no matter how many team members they cast, guests will STILL step behind that line. HA!

The costumes are amazing, but Bumblebee's head is too small.
