It's really great to see that in most reviews, the Team Members are being noticed and in a really positive way.

They deserve it. I managed to stop by yesterday afternoon. They were doing a fantastic job maintaining crowd control while being polite and pleasant. When it opened they really got into character and helped to get everyone excited about the ride. The same can be said for all of the Springfield employees that I cam in contact with. I don't know if they're new hires that are fresh out of their orientation or returning employees, but either way they really helped to make these additions stand out as top-shelf experiences.

Also, for the record, I thought the ride was fantastic. To reiterate what everyone is saying, the Youtube videos really don't do it justice. Yes, it has a lot in common with Spiderman, and riding both in the same day may create some deja vu. But they learned from what they did with Spiderman and improved upon it. An excellent addition to the park and another much-needed "reridable" attraction.

I felt inspired and a little productive this weekend so I decided to try and replicate the LED effect in the Transformers Ride sign.

Infitec is a proprietary 3D system which works with projectors, rather than a projector itself. From the looks of their web site it works in a very similar way to Dolby 3D.

Ha, ha. Yep, on that site it says 3D-Dolby Digital uses technology licensed from Infintec.

One thing that was just a bit disappointing was the fire effect, for lack of real fire. I think the reason for having "fake" fire instead of actual fire might be the tightness of the sets. Spider-Man has a more open space during the fireball scene, and in Transformers all the sets are more compressed.:

This is a gripe of mine with TF too, I believe the no fire thing is because of "Green Is Universal" boo hiss

If that's the case, the I think the Spider-Man fireball would have gone away by now.

Not sure if said already but a Disney representative called the Transformers ride a "glorified rock em sock em robot attraction that he/she doubts guests will get excited over. They also acknowledged that although Antarctica has a cool ride system, the ride is joyless and useless in the theme park landscape." All the while, they talked up their Starbucks meet n greet that will hopefully debut with MM+ in 2014. Oh, the irony

What is a "disney representative" and where did they say such a thing? Do you have a link to a credible news article? I will only comment on this if I see that it is true.

I was actually impressed with the effect, especially how the missile goes in slow motion, & you begin to feel the heat slowly increase, & the use of an ORANGE light that simulates fire/explosion, unlike most of the time when they just cop out & just use a red light for a fire effect which is pointless & unrealistic looking- (T2 3D, FJ Dragon fire breath, etc.)

& I didnt think of it before, but I think what Felipe makes sense about the building & sets being more confined, so due to the ride layout design they had no choice to do it the way they did it & probably couldnt use real fire even if they wanted to. Plus who knows what fire codes would allow/not allow fire effects in the building. & everyone keeps bringing up "Green is Universal, yet we have real fire in Spiderman AND Revenge of the Mummy, so who knows, it is a bit confusing.

Either way, I really do like the firebal effect in TF, I think they did well with what they had.

Those two rides are grandfathered I believe. Mummy was the last of the fire rides with no new attraction having fire since. If they had wanted fire on TF then they would have designed around the effect to make it safe and workable. There is nothing they "can't" do if they really want to do it.

I am glad that this thing tells us what a fire alarm looks and sounds like, but how do we distinguish from a strobe and horn that is part of the show?

Right, I realize that, but at the same time that doesnt mean they are automatically exempt from any construction inspection standards/fire codes etc. So you could be right that they couldve used fire, but didnt due to there new policy which came after those 2 rides. Did you get to ride yet?
