It should never be either. Universal shouldn't be about the newest movies. It should be about the best.

Even though it was a sequel, I find T2 to be a much more original movie than Avatar. The story of Avatar had been done before. Spending a boatload on graphics doesn't mean it's a great movie.

If ET or Jaws gets cut, I'm done. Nothing is sacred. Terminator is good but expendable. But ET and Jaws? The thought's mind-boggling. I would think they wouldn't want to displease Spielburg. Hopefully his influence will prevail here.

I know they wouldn't want to disgrace the Almighty One, but sadly I could see E.T. fade away one day. Jaws, not so much. But E.T. already got the axe in Hollywood. I know it was regarded in the same light, but it isn't something that should be discounted.

ET and Jaws won't go anywhere, the contract with Steven is TOO important to the parks. More than likely they will get major upgrades and make them more modern.

E.T. would be great with an update. However, I think Jaws might be spoiled with an update. Too much technology would take the charm out of it.

I agree Jaws does have the charm where its best kept like it is, ET however could have an update anyday. Didn't spielberg threaten to pull out all contracts which would include jurassic park as well? Or was that just an internet rumor?

The rumors were true, they threatened to remove all of his contracts if another ET was taken out.

before or after Japan did theirs... (isn't that one intact in containers though and being sold to one of the new studio parks under construction?)

AGREED!!!! Someone had to make a stand against Uni.and their foolishness!!!
