Why would they need ANOTHER dark ride? Maybe our definitions are different but every single ride in USF is a dark ride with the exception of HRRR. Just curious

Not the case. Technically the only dark rides they have currently are MIB and ET. Disaster is debatable, but it's much more of a hybrid experience.

Yea. Technically "dark ride" denotes a ride that uses a bus bar ride system. You can call things like Mummy and Disaster dark rides, but it's technically not true. Simpsons and Despicable Me are simulators. Shrek, Twister, T2 are shows.

Posting here because Comcast had been mentioned a lot lately. I completely forgot that Comcast had attempted a buyout of the Disney Company back in February of 2004. What goes around comes around I suppose.

How about a dark ride with Universal Monsters? I'm sure somebody has thought of that but that idea would really make me happy :) I'd be surprised if we got a ride though. Something cool to walk through to get out of the heat and take a break from rides would be enough to please me.

I managed to get some great pictures of the SS 44 demolition today. Coming up in just a bit. Donkey's photo spot is completely gutted.

Here they are. Had to find some clever angles for some of these shots.

I can't help but feel the permanent haunt rumor is a ruse. The more I think about it, the less it makes sense.

Thanks for the pics. These are the best I've seen.

I am not convinced this building is coming down. There is still themed leko lighting on top of the building aimed at shrek. That would have been the first to go in my estimation, long before they do other stuff.

Could they possibly just be remodeling the walls and adding height but not completely knocking down the building? Seems a bit strenuous?

Based on your feelings or on your contacts deep inside either Hensel Phelps Construction or Universal Creative or upper management?

I was wondering why they are just taking the covered walkways down... why not knock it down all at once?
Just go in overnight and take it down, and then haul it off.
