I'm probably wrong here, but the scoop vehicle uses a ton of hydraulics, as would the elevator, wouldn't it?

Haha sorry had to...anyways, looks like they wont be using hydraulic rams to power the lifts. Rather they will use electric motors (maybe a rack and gear system)...Those can be quick and smooth.

such as this system: http://www.towerelevators.com/products/trac-cab®-advantage/

We already know from months back that there are no hydraulics on the scoops. They use "screw actuators".

it must be said again, the speed in which they are moving is unreal, they must be trying really hard to get this open by the time FLE is complete.

yeah, I think FLE is complete by Early 2014, but soft opens around holidays 2013, just as this opens. Just my guess, could be wrong.

I had a dream last night that the construction was complete, but everybody was surprised to discover that the addition was not Transformers. Instead, it was a Scooby-Doo dark ride, similar to all the other Sally Dark Rides ones with a few Universal touches (like, at one point, it took a photo of everbody in the six person car and put their heads onto the bodies of Mystery Inc.'s members). The building was themed to a castle, riders shot at targets for points, and the attraction appeared to be on multiple levels.

Of course I don't expect a simple dream to mean that Universal is getting a new Scooby-Doo dark ride instead of Transformers, but I can't deny I wouldn't mind... Scooby-Doo is much more family friendly and would most likely not have a minimum height requirement, unlike Transformers. Universal lacks rides that truly anybody can ride, as you discover when you travel with a 38" nephew.

At the rate everything is going, they will have WWoHP 2 done less than a year after FLE is finished too. That's pretty crazy.

Uni needs to announce this sucker already. I'm tired of reading people's reasoning on why this isn't or shouldn't be Transformers on other sites.

If I get my way, then they'll wait until after HHN, and that'll give me a chance to wear my Transformers shirt to HHN and stare at the constructions walls. Yeah, irk them in any way possible. Now that sounds like a plan!

Ehh, true. But it's still so much more entertaining to tick off a few security guards.

I also had a dream a couple of nights ago but instead it was of the new Harry Potter expansion being open and I was there. Weird.
