I'm pretty sure the Monsters rumor was a combination of the House of Horrors originally slated to be in SS44 this year, and that conveniently giving a start to a "coverup" to distract and weed out the rumor mill folks.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Kong ride thrown in, I actually think I'd like it a bit more even though Transformers does sound appealing. Curiousity kills me though, I know Kongfrontation incorporated the attack on the city. What Im wondering is if this would be of the same manner? I originally thought (from above comments about USH's version) that it would take place on Skull Island (hope that's the name not too familiar) but that wouldn't incorporate at all into NY. Thoughts?

Wouldn't work. It would need to be all new animation. The specific type of CG animation needed for a Transformers/Spider-Man style 3D ride has to slightly change perspective second-by-second because the ride vehicle passes by the screen in a certain manner. What I'm talking about can be better explained at 3:30 in the following video:

Chopping up the hollywood ride film was overly simplistic on my part, yet I was implying that the animations, 3D characters, scene action has been created. They merely need to adjust how the camera moves through the scene, or chopped up, each scene, both left and right. So, it could be done... a better argument is whether WETA Digital is up to the complicated task of understanding and rendering for each screen as I understand that Lucasfilm had a bitchin time 'getting it' and that every screen is vastly different in lenses, curvature etc.

For a total and expensive reimagining however, adding 20M to the ride: imagine they did the NY scenes, the theater, the cars flying through the air and the climax was falling with Kong of the Empire State Building. Woof!!!

Except for the Orange County permit docs: "Drains & vents for basement and ride car pits and maintenance pit."

Plus huge garage door sized holes in both the basement pits that have been created:

No need for huge doors in the elevator pits unless you need to move something big through them.

I hear you. It just doesn't make sense.

The track in the elevator car would have to pivot with the car on it in order to get in there. The RVs weigh 7 tons. I know it's possible, but why? What's the point? The design already works so well in the other versions. Maybe it's access for something else? Those doorways don't even look big enough to fit a vehicle through.

I also see evidence of a maintenance area on the left of the picture on the main floor. The pit on the left would be to access the underside of the vehicles. Plus I also see evidence of a switch track on the first curve after the straightaway, which would lead right to that area.

Granted I am not well learned in the architecture of buildings and maintenance but if the section of track that segways off to a separate part (said maintenance bay) then what is the basement for? I would assume those doors on the elevator lift pits would be used for easier access for maintenance (elevator mechanics that is). But could that opening next to the load station be an "elevator" of sorts that lowers the cars down to the maintenance bay? I think that would make pretty good sense.

If what I learned earlier is right, the basement will have the queue, parts of the ride itself, and the maintenance bay, which isn't as big as I originally thought.

I suppose that would take up a good amount of space then. I do remember hearing that the queue and parts of the ride were in the basement on the floor plans for USH's version but if it's Kong would that have the potential to change a few things??? Just thinking off of the top of my head

That appears to be a pit that would allow access to the underside of the vehicles.

I just can't fathom why they would change the design from the other versions. It works well for the other versions and they have so little time. Unless it's NOT Transformers...

I see that now that you mention it.

Would Uni really try and throw a distraction out this "late" in a game that's being played and speculated upon now for almost 5 months? I'm still relatively new here but I would think at this point UC would just let it run it's course and do their thing.

Gotta say... TF is pretty damn impressive. The elevator lifts are SO incredibly smooth and the journey downward creates a VERY cool perspective of how large a TF can be....

What if..what if the elevator's could go down..maybe a storage area for cars..probably a dumb thought that will be tossed aside :P but worth throwing into the ring.
