does anyone know if the building will be themed to like one big NEST facility? Or are they gonna pull a Harry Potter and leave it as a big white warehouse eye sore? Personally, I'd love if they added New York facades around the whole thing...

Considering it's very noticeable, a paint job or facades will pretty much come. Or they can make it a soundstage.

Please no soundstage... I understand this is the Studios, but the more themed and immersive, the better, IMO. New York is really well done, so hopefully they'll blend this right in :thumbs:

It just means that they will be doing the facade and therefore most likely there will be great theming.

They did the facade work for Potter and are doing phase 2. Most recently, they did the London waterfront.

Reason being is more extensive the outside theming is around the building(such as New York/Chicago like facade work) the better the area looks as a whole and the more likelyhood of productions wanting to use the area again to get all that great cityscape in their shots. More tv/film productions equal more $$$ for a better themed resort.

I couldn't agree more. It'll be very interactive with the surrounding area. I'm keeping a watchful eye def for the New York Side though.

Speaking of tv/film production, I read an article on Orlando Theme Park News about how there's an increase in tv, film, and animation production at USF. I found it very encouraging.

I find it encouraging, because it brings USF back to the beginning where it was a real production/ theme park that Hollywood is. The increase is much needed for the resort, and more importantly the company as a whole.

I'm so happy Universal seem to be able to build so fast (like some crazy time-lapse video) and its going to be open when I visit Florida next September

So much new stuff at US and IOA since I was last there in 2008.
