I think this show is going to be such a you either like it or hate it.

Its slowwwwwwwwwwwww, I like the humor the mustache guy is hilarious but really so much of the TV stuff feels...forced after how Episode 3 ended. Don't hate it but doubt I will be rewatching these episodes in full ever again. I will be nice to see clips of the best gags and the "cool" moments but I do not need to watch the whole thing ever again because its just an old TV and within 60 seconds you can understand the entire plot of the episode.
If this was DC I would say it was a mistake to start with this...but who are we kidding this could be crap and people will still turn into Winter Solider/Falcon because its the MCU and people don't mind a bump in the road if other parts of it are great.

Not to say it isn't great...but this is the first MCU thing in a while I would say is not for everyone. Honestly think Phase 3 was pretty much perfect and you could enjoy all of it but Phase 4 I think could be where we see them try things and that approach will get some people not to tune into everything

They’ve well earned the right to experiment and try things at this point. Hasn’t that been some people’s complaint with the MCU anyway? It’s too much of the same formula every movie?

I know some others have said this already but Disney really messed up by not putting out at least a substantial portion of the episodes at once. IMO, they should have released the first 6 then put out the last 3 once a week. It wouldn’t be far off from the usual 6 weekly episode format from future shows in the MCU.

Slow burn shows can work week-to-week if they have significant character development, plot momentum and so forth. This is mostly easter eggs and a couple moments of weirdness surrounded by typical generational sitcom shenanigans. There’s not much here to entice audiences to anticipate the next episode for 7 days.

I still have hope this will finish strong, but while I know extraneous circumstances (filming delays, etc) led to WandaVision being completed first, I think having this be the introductory MCU show was a big mistake.

Don’t think they needed to drop 6 at once, but two or three per week and then release the last three weekly on their own. It would’ve helped get through the sitcom aspect of the show faster.

I think they have earned it....but Wando Vision best parts are for sure not the main show they are doing...people like the Glitches and mystery but its being drawn out.

I'm excited about Winter Soilder because I'm pretty sure its going to have mystery as well but not waste time because it has action and the budget makes that so we get 6 episodes and sure all of them will add to the story.
Episode 1/2 should have been one episode, all the information we see there xould easily be in one episode and sure 3/4 could mash them up as well. I get they want to build up to it but if the main episodes were stronger then sure but...really the writing for the main plots are meh....like no one cares about the boss or the raising money for kids. We are here because we want to know where they are, how they got here is Vision really back and if so..how? Who are these other people and so on.

If you have NEVER seen Star Wars you can love Mando from episode one....if you have never seen the MCU (hell even if you have) there might not be much new or interesting yet because so far its a SLOWWWWWW burn.

I'm also not going to say anyone can't enjoy it, but the reason people are down on it is because the idea is cool but this is not the best execution of the idea. People love Winter Solider because its a good spy movies whether or not your into the MCU. Ironman because its a fun action movie, Thor Ragnarok a call back to 70/80 action films, GOTG a a space movie that like Firefly, star trek or Star wars focuses on a crew who become family.
Point is at the core the things work and this is a very much narrower path, and if it was fast paced think it could work better or as others said you put more episodes out when its slow.

Hopefully Disney learns from if you want to do build up fine but give us more then because we will enjoy it more. Mando Season 2 has 1/2 episodes you could say are filler.....but even then the Mayfeild episode changes you perception of the character in the drop of a hat. Anyway think its a fine show and thats ok, MCU is just normally above normal and sure the last episodes will be great. The small moments we see the characters when they break "character" and see something is not right are great and interesting.

Its not a spoiler but knowing Vision if he finds out that Wanda is controlling this I bet he will not be happy and beg her to stop it before trying to stop it himself and sure that will be well acted and amazing to watch

So far I don't think any episode has excelled beyond a 7/10. Hopefully the next episode spends a bit of time outside the sitcom aspects.

I agree that none have been overwhelmingly great yet, but each episode has been better than the last and with the short run time, Disney+ has a highly replayable show on their hands (I think i'd classify the episodes as a 6, 6.5, and 7) and if rumors come true, we'll be spending a decent bit of the episode with SWORD Agents outside of Wanda's bubble in this coming episode.

I'm personally just glad that we're discussing MCU content again.

I think the issue is that WandaVision’s Homages have a different target audience than the average MCU target audience. In fact, so far, I’ve managed to get the show appreciated more by people that aren’t really into the MCU than those that are already invested in it.
Personally, it hits pretty squarely where I want it to, as someone that loved the sitcoms this show calls back to, the mysteries/thriller that this calls back to (which I think are the homages that a lot of people are missing), and the modern MCU.

Yeah, just purely anecdotal, but friends I have who don't watch MCU movies religiously (or some people who've jumped in for the first time), are really enjoying the show so far. While the show is a mystery, it's also just a straight sitcom episode to episode so far (aside from a "wtf moment" at the end of Episode 2 and a cliffhanger at the end of 3). This show is able to transcend Marvel's usual audience due to the type of show it currently is, which of course will change by the end of the season.

The issue remains the release strategy...while trying for a water cooler effect, essentially the show already is causing burnout and interest drop because its glacial pacing. The highs aren’t high enough to last a week of waiting. It needed to be two episodes a week but of course disney wants people to keep two months of subscriptions so they spread it out.

Yup. I feel like it keeps getting repeated, but it’s just a very poor strategy for the type of show WandaVision is.

I noticed most HBO Max originals are released in bunches. The Flight Attendant, for example was released in a 3-2-2-1 strategy, something which would be better for this show than weekly. I think a 2-2-2-1-1-1 release would’ve been best for this show.

While I have issues as well...like honestly the internet can complain but for one

I think this is the only show for a LONG time from the MCU that will be like this so hopefully they learn for next time...but I'm assuming the ending will be so good when people talk about that and others come in to view it. The issues will be gone...you watch it and if your bored do chores or text...or fast forward and go to the next episode and binge it all and hopefully love it.

Falcon for sure will have one or more fight scenes per episode and is short and Loki will be I think a more interesting way for a Mystery week to week (not that the core mystery in this show is bad...its just what surrounds is not for everyone)

I actually really like the show so far, the problem is that the sitcom style is so short and it's a lot of little easter eggs so far building up to a big ending. I doubt any other Marvel show will be like this again, to do a show like this, it takes the perfect story to tell and House of M/The Vision (the two comics this is mostly based off of) perfectly help utilize this structure.

Also, Feige loves classic sitcoms, which is partly why he liked the idea of doing a show in this style.

The show for sure is great...think if they did two episodes a week we would not see as many people complaining but in the end people will love the ending and forget they didn't like the start.

I think we at some point will get another unique show just not sure when...Mr Marvel..Blade...Moon Knight should all be straight forward....maybe if Dr Strange or Thor got a show we could see something way out there.

I was extremely underwhelmed. It started out strong then gotten weaker for me. I get this episode answered questions but 95% we already knew.

I really enjoyed this episode, but it also further shows that the first 3 episodes should've been released at once. I thought this was a fairly refreshing episode as, while I do like the sitcom episode's and our time with Wanda and Vision, this felt more like what you'd expect a Marvel show to feel like, so it was a nice change of pace for an episode at least.

I do think it's a bit funny that we were sort of watching Darcy and Jimmy Woo basically represent everyone on Twitter the past two weeks in how they were watching the episodes and trying to figure out what the hell was going on

We are getting to finally see just what is going on, I feel this needs to be a binge watch as the story is essentially being played out in real time.

Yeah this episode made up for the methodical pacing of the last three episodes. I just hope the next couple episodes don’t go all in on the sitcoms again. I would like to see a cut back and forth between the episode and what’s happening in reality.

Episode 6 is rumored to be the Halloween episode. That would be the 90's if the next two episodes keep progressing through the decades. I'm starting to wonder if the character they said "we'd never guess" was in this show is Captain Marvel.

Also, even if the next few episodes do go through the decades and Wanda continues her "show", I think the episodes will be less "sitcom-y" as reality continues to set in.
