Needless to say--but major Wandavision spoilers have leaked out; and the rumor on the street is that Episode's 5 and 6 may be releasing next week, as they were the episodes that got leaked.

Totally just realized what Westview reminds me of now - Storybrooke from Once Upon A Time. Note for note almost.

If I was to describe the town/world Wanda's created, it's very, very similar. In the most basic way I can think of, they're both "towns" that has something off about them. People are onto it, but no one wants to/can say anything; some are also in on it maliciously. If you don't live in the town, then you don't even seem to realize what's going on. I could continue to draw extreme parallels, but i'll stop there lol.

If you watched the leak read on in spoiler, if not DONT CLICK THE SPOILER! Unless you want to know then totally click it.

In the leak I saw it had Evan Peters wearing what looks like a comic version of the Quicksilver outfit. So if they are bringing in Quicksilver from the Fox Xmen, this has got to be the start of them brining over Mutants, or at least exploring the multiverse of Marvel movies more.

I also think Evan Peters as Quicksilver might be the one they said no one would guess was in the show.

As for episode 4 it didn't interest me any more then the previous 3 episodes. So far its 1.5 hours of Easter eggs, and 30 minutes of a recap of those Easter eggs just with confirmation of what everyone already figured out. However, if the leak is what it appears to be, that will totally make me interested in the remaining episodes, even if its just to see how it plays out.

It’s Mephisto dressed up as Quicksilver for Halloween to screw with Wanda. Even the Fox version of Quicksilver wouldn’t say something that mean.

I don't buy into the Mephisto idea. All the fans keep saying it, they are being to heavy with the hints about it, I think they are going to subvert everyone's expectations. At least I hope they do that would at least raise the show up to the types of shows it's mimicking. If they go the Mephisto route then it will be sooooo predictable and disappointing.

Putting out a trailer specifically for Ep. 4 and now this tells me Disney/Marvel know the show is a tad divisive right now and they’re trying hard to sort of tell the audience “stick with it, it’ll all make sense in the end”.

If it's the one from the leak, I wouldn't say its on par with Luke in Mando, but it is very interesting, and does make me want to see where they go with it....despite the show still not appealing to me.

Given that Disney is now seemingly leaning into hyping up surprises for this show, and the leaks, I get the sense the show might now be performing quite like they were hoping it would thus far.

I mentioned that a a few posts back as well. This release strategy is definitely costing them now since the show is so weird and such a slow burn. It basically did a little bit of what TLJ did and they subverted the expectations (those that don't pay close attention to rumors or trailers) of what they expect out of the MCU. Even many who saw the trailers didn't think they would lean SO FAR into the sitcom thing as WandaVision did the first three episodes.

My guess is they are trying to tell people with these little trailers, "please stay subscribed, it's gonna get crazy".

If there is any backlash against the style, I'd also chalk it up that WandaVision was supposed to be more of a smaller Disney+ offering, not the real start of Phase 4 of Marvel's storytelling. I liked the first three episodes because they dared to veer things off course. Comic books are weird. Let adaptations be as well.

Everything I’ve been told is that WandaVision sets up more than any of the other MCU shows in the near future. That said, it was intended to be proceeded by Falcon and Winter Soldier which, by most accounts, is almost textbook what people would expect out of a Marvel show.

They were going to have trouble explaining this to generals no matter when they released it.

I’d guess if they could go back and make an adjustment, they would’ve released all of the first four episodes the first weekend and then did the weekly release style with the rest. That would’ve been the best of both worlds.
