A "ticketing building" was mentioned as part of Project 3461 (Hogsmeade Station), but who knows if it is a real ticketing building or just for show. The plans weren't clear which is why it was even mentioned.

Anyways, we do have a new permit today for Potter USF featuring a pre-engineered metal building system.

Good find Reel, more interesting than the Hogwarts Express ticket argument (although I too am very curious to see how it will work - all options seem like a nightmare atm). So 7685 is Gringotts?

Hard to know. Details are sparse until review begins. The Gringotts foundation permit was Project 7542. So far, nothing has had 7685. At this point, the only 2 projects with foundation permits issued are Kings Cross/Platform 9 3/4 and Gringotts.

Ah, so perhaps 7542 and 7685 for Gringotts, and another so-far unknown project will become the station building itself. This permit system confuses me - over here you prepare your application with site plans, building elevations, noise pollution analysis etc for everything at once, send the whole lot in to the county council and in about a month you get a yes or no on the entire thing. Much easier to follow!

I take it that all is approved with Water Management? Or are there some things hanging?

Hmmm, so 4 queues for one ride. A normal queue, a Express queue (if there is one), single riders AND a queue for people who can't exit the ride because they didn't pay for a 2 park ticket...I hope they do serve meals on this train because you sure will be waiting a lot to get onto this ride.

I sort of see how they could get rid of the single park ticket and make it mandatory to get a 2 park ticket. Sure, that might scare some people away when they are forced to pay $150, like you said, but I see any other way either being massive confusion or just an endless queue for a simple train ride. I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan so I'm not sure if all this fuss is worth it for a monorail ride...but whatever. We'll see what they do.

Nope, 1 entrance queue in both stations, 2 exits in both stations, 1 into the park, 1 back onto the train. The train should be able to handle a pretty good capacity so it shouldn't need express or single rider IMHO.

Also I'm sure there will be ticket booths to be able to upgrade tickets in order to go into the other park, the train ride alone will pay for itself in park ticket upgrades

But having to pay twice to see "Potter" would be a PR nightmare. Can you imagine the ill informed Potterheads getting off of the Hogwart Express and being made to queue up to pay again to get into Hogsmeade? Much easier to just do away with the One Park Pass, and just sell a Universal Parks Passport that works at both parks. You pick you number of days and have a waterpark add on option for an extra $20.

:iagree:

And sorry for bringing up this "ticket argument" again. I am recently catching up with years of Universal news and I was not about to read 278 pages to find what everyone else was saying about the Hogwarts ticketing issue.

I still stand behind my original argument from 4 or 5 months ago on the epic ticket debate and 100% agree with Disneyhead and Unifreak. RIP single park ticket

WhyLightBulb has been talking about gringotts...

"Yes count on it! Gringott's will be an amazing ride. The ride system itself will break new ground and the show elements will be a wonder to behold. There will be plenty of envirnmental effects, 3-D sets and next generation projection effects. It will be better than FJ in my opnion. I haven't even gotten into the Express train attraction either."

and...

"There are slow dark ride sequences and "coaster" sequences. Think Mummy and Spiderman with more show."

We've know that they're using Mummy to test projections for Gringotts.

My word, I have already seen the plans for Diagon Alley, the streets will be full scale and the effects planned for the windows defy imagination. They have plans for one or two street performance too. Should be awsome. Oh, and the effect for the wall. Just you guys wait. The plans look amazing! I wish I could show them to you all.......!!!!!!!

See, I can shovel crap too... I haven't seen any plans except water management. It's all slight of hand.

Lee posted this on WDWMagic :blank: right...

Hi. I'm new here... but I've been lurking since construction for Potter 1.0 began. My brother made an account here a loooong while back under "Dumbo Fan" and I decided to rejoin.

Hi Lee.

Or did you just steal that off of WDWMagic?

No, I took that from WDWMagic. Haha. I could (and have) done a more probable layout in math class. The ride layout in that drawing seems to lack a proper break run... (I'm assuming it's fake, naturally)
