Everything about that news story was bushleague. Mr. Van Zandt, I want to help you.

1) next time, try contacting the company who allegedly made the promotional material. Also, Transformers isn't going into Jaws.
2) FLE is boring.
3) there are far more exciting Potter plans for phase 2 to show. At least put the dewatering permits in some sort of perspective.
4) theme park professor guy, talk about what really matters: guest spending. Quit being a Disney homer.

This is where WW 2 is discussed, yes. Enjoy reading screamscape as we all do, but don't take it as a source of fact. Also, look around at the other sites like this and draw your own conclusions. No one site is conclusive.

Cool thanks. I have been looking at the London plan-view elevation of Potter, it looks like there is a path to the left of the Gringotts façade that goes behind TLC; what are the chances that there will be a short cut to Kings Cross that is accessible via Diagon Alley? Also I was wondering what is up with that lone building between DA and KA, could it be sort of an island of a roundabout? In the films the actors were told where to go so no troubles, but in the park there will be tourists taking pictures everywhere, could one-way-traffic be possible in theme parks? I was thinking that you could loop clockwise around that central island as much as you want, the entrance to the roundabout is DA and you have to leave via KA. This could be the reason that there is a large outdoor area outside Weasleys Wizard Wheezes on the Knockturn Alley side; a queue that wouldn’t stop the traffic flow.

One of the things in the report that I noticed is the media keeps saying the rumoured expansion to WW. It has been confirmed that it is expanding so why do they keep saying rumour.

The chairs in the wardrobe building still have the old "Universal Orlando Escape!" branding.

True it has been confirmed that "an expansion" is happening, it was very vague though...the wheres and the whats are still technically rumors at this point

I assume you are referring to the 'glass canopy' Reel?

Yes. Not sure what else has such a thing besides Kings Cross.

I had this image saved to my computer and while reading this permit, it popped up in my head due to the glass canopy. For anyone unfamiliar with King's Cross.

The question, is why does it matter in relation to another building? And if it is the Kings Cross roof, why was it earlier called an overhang?

Project 7448 comprises of Buildings 65, 65a, and 64. So let's see:

65 = Kings Cross?
65a = Platform 9 3/4?
64 = Leaky Cauldron?

I would quicker think one was the covered walkway in between the two. Which also creates the question of where the station ends and where London begins if it begins and if the covered walkway/London facade has direct interior access to the restaurant.

More comments (really need someone versed in FBC, engineering, and architecture....or just the set of plans!)

"Architect or Engineer shall provide drawings drawn to scale with sufficient clarity and detail to indicate the nature and character of the work. FBC 106.1.1, 2010 (1. Design professional I'm unable to clearly determine the functions on the second level of Building 64, Ref. Sheet LS105. 2. I'm unable to determine the structures shown to the right of the fire rise (65-105) on on sheet LS102. There use and distance from the structure are not clear. 3. Life safety plan for Building 65 and 65A is also not clear.) "

"Allowable height and area shall not exceed the limits set forth in Table 503, based on the construction type as determined by Section 602 and the occupancies as determined by Section 302, except as modified hereafter. FBC 503.1 2010 (Please indicate how the proposed compliance will be met with area and height for structures 64F, 65A and 66C.) Update: A 3 hour separation wall is provide between 64F and 65A."

A 3 hour separation wall is for fire prevention. This tells me that the wall is a section that backs up against the kitchen of Leaky.

Yep. So maybe Leaky is 64F and Kings Cross is 65A. And now, Building 66 is a thing.

The local fire depts. will be getting maps with those building numbers sometime in the future. Of course, I want them right now.

BTW, I hope they provide a huge audio difference between the two stations, with one being more hushed, and the other being noisy and cacophonous with echoey arrivals spoken over loudspeakers.

This really is a cool skill you guys have picked up on. I've always worked permits from the standpoint of knowing what they're for since I'm usually the one filing for them. But the way y'all are able to decipher different things about the buildings just based on permits is seriously impressive. Much kudos.

I wish a kind a contractor would find it in their heart to email us the plans.

Speaking of which, the Gringotts ride layout everyone ridiculed Lee for is legit per WhyLightBulb. Lee also posted a corner of the blueprints.

Would be a good opportunity to sneak in some Jaws nods. "Captain Jake, your party is waiting by platform 10" "Bruce, Bruce your luggage is ready at check-in"

I noticed that and was curious why a foundation plan would feature a ride layout. But, I choose to believe WhyLightBulb until we catch him being wrong.
