Anyway they should concentrate on giving DC a good theme before they think about any additions.

Agreed. They don't even have to repaint it, just make the queue better.

Meh, the queue is fine. No matter what they do it won't match the greatness of the DD queue.

You say this and then expect them to build a brand new ride that is "highly themed"?

Considering they built FJ, Mummy, Spider-man, etc...yea.

There's just somethings that were completely perfect, and the DD queue was one of them. Not saying DC can't have a better queue, but it will pale in comparison to the DD queue. And people are always going to complain about it because it isn't the DD queue. It's just the way it is.

They won't complain if they give it a nice storyline.

^Uh no, people will complain about anything. There are several topics on these boards alone that I could pull up and show how several members tend to complain or argue for the sake of it. Arguments that are spread out over pages (cough this thread cough) without any information to back it up. I mean how can you complain about something that doesn't even exist yet? If its not one thing its another and that's just the way its gonna be, so why not take it for what it is and move on.

Would you say that about Hulk before it was repainted? Disco Yeti? Murder She Wrote building? There's always room to improve and DD deserves something good to stand in its place.

Now your changing the argument, one that your trying push and have for a while now. Quit changing the subject and using examples that have nothing to do with overlays but rather refurbs or buildings not in use. The fact is whether or not the DC queue is up to your standards or anyone elses doesn't matter. At this point Universal could care less about a queue for any current attraction. Reason being, why use capitol on something that is so hard to sell. People don't come to IOA for a queue, they come for whats at the end of that queue.

Hard to sell? It's part of the freaking Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Where millions of tourists come to spend money on useless sticks and pints of sugared-up cream soda. They can take the worst part of the place, make it better, and market it as a whole new attracton and the general public will not be any the wiser.

I'm sure that's the selling point for all the people coming to Universal.

You'd be surprised how many people think Dragon's Challenge is a whole new roller coaster. I've had to explain to a few friends that it replaced Dueling Dragons.

Yea, the queue was awesome, and I enjoyed it, mainly because I'm an ethusiast; but the general public isn't waiting an hour to experience the queue, but to enjoy the coaster. The queue is just an added bonus. If, and when, the expansion happens, they'll focus on that, not the existing Wizarding area. Universal isn't just going to close that queue again after being 2-3 years surrounded by walls, tarps, and re-routes.

Most people don't give a crap about a ride's queue. Especially a thrill ride. If Universal spends money, they want it to translate it to more people. A new queue does not mean more people. A whole new intricately themed thrill ride does.

From what I've seen during each of my trips, most guests enjoy the new queue. How many non-locals know or remember what the DC queue replaced? Not many. The queue offers several photo ops for HP fans (eg. Ford Anglia, goblet of fire) and does a decent job for the most part. Does it beat the DD queue? No, but most guests seem to be enjoying the queue for what it is and as BriMan & jtsalien said, most guests aren't there for the queue anyway.

Nope, there's quite a few on here against it as well. According to the poll, at least 14 members are against it.

Is a WWOHP expansion on the top of my wish list? Not at all. But I would certainly welcome it as long as it's on the same quality level as the current offerings.

I personally think all of the islands are just fine as is. But I would never complain about an expansion, especially if it was well done. The difference with Potter and JP or MSHI is this - HP has made IoA's attendance skyrocket and millons of dollars. In fact, I don't think even IoA's grand opening as a theme park brought in this many people (or this much money for merchandise!). I don't understand why none of you think it's possible. I believe that Universal can expand it, and to those who argue that it will dominate the park - up ONE attraction from LC. Is that really a huge difference? I didn't think so?

Thank You! *virtual hug*

Of course an expansion is possible, non of us are in control what goes on, but the thing opened less than a year ago. It proved to be awesome, and there's no need to go mess up the balance now. What IoA's focus now should be is to make all the other attractions and parts of the park look tip top shape, because that seems to be the biggest gripe from Disney fans, that Universal's attractions don't match the theming standard of Disney, and to add new rides in places there there currently is nothing, and not to replace something that's already there, and decent.

And I'm sorry, but DC's queue is no where near decent.
