It's not that big of a deal, they could keep the same building just redecorate it. They could also keep the same menu just change the name of the items and maybe add a few Potter themed items. As long as they kept the same executive chef, I don't see what the problem would be. Maybe they could win back that Best Award from the prestegious Amusement Insider.

Its not that simple, they are VERY meticulate with details in the WW, so a menu change just won't do, more than likely, this will become the Leaky Cauldron, and the entrance to Diagon Alley through some sort of brick wall probably.

I agree, if they were to take over Mythos it would have to be completely rethemed and the menu changed, but that's not saying much. While it seems like a lot of work to us, they aren't lazy. It's possible and probable if this is to happen....

I love the how popular the "take over the Arabian section" argument has gotten, it would definitely work for DA and as stated, it can and would work...

Mythos doesn't make the food. The chefs make the food. Just sayin'.

^ But different chefs might make different food. For example this chef may be great at making Greek food, but may not be as good with British food. Anyway, hopefully Phase 2 will only take up the Arabian section and we'll never have to worry about this.

We love Mythos! My daughter and I were brainstorming the other day ways they could save Mythos with very few changes if the rest of LC got the ax. She came up with the idea to say it is part of the Mermaid world at the bottom of the Black Lake. They could serve whatever kind of food they wanted to serve in the Black Lake, it wouldn't have to be British! And the decor already looks undersea-cavernish. They wouldn't have to change much. I thought it was pretty creative! :smiley:
I wonder if they'd ever consider leaving it a stand alone restaurant just as it is without a land to fit into?

I dunno. It's definitely possible. They could make a path that goes straight after the bridge from Seuss Landing, basically where the LC statue is right now, that would lead from Seuss to the expanded WW, yet keep the other path that veers right, and enclose the Mythos area/grotto with trees and bushes basically making it it's own area.

Let me get this straight. The same people who want to expand HP to make for room, and lessen congestion agree with adding Diagon Ally, which is the most narrow little street in the world? 1. I doubt JKR will agreet o letting it be widened like Hogsmeade was.

There are actually a total of nine places to but Potter merchandise, counting Owl Post and D&B seperately, and not counting the online store. Plenty of opportunity to buy a plastic sword.

I love Mythos, and I' hate to see it removed. It is so creative and unique, and is basically the essence of what the original IoA was about. I agree, if the LC gets removed, I would very much like to have Mythos standalone in a miniature LC with the Mystic Fountain nearby, maybe as a Port of Entry outpost.
