Nice pictures OrlandoRocks. Looks like the San Francisco side is getting a black iron/ aluminum fence. It also seems like they've stopped pumping water out as the water level has risen on the "dry" side of the dam.

Has anyone with a powerful lense tried to get a picture from the Simpsons queue? Seems to me like you could see what they're doing in the park/walkway area.

Does that match up with other fencing in the rest of San Fran?

Florida Thrills has posted an amazing update: http://www.floridathrills.net/content/ftn-universal-orlando-construction-report-09-12-2012-694/

These two are a great perspective of the construction.

this is really going to be something once it's completed...possibly the best themed area in the world (maybe excluding Disney Sea)

From Whylightbulb:

Universal is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Potter 2.0. The main ride will blow away anything Universal or Disney has done stateside in the past 18 years. It's a step above Forbidden Journey and will earn its place among the classic theme park attractions. Carsland looks great and RSR is a wonderful attraction but in terms of the "wow" factor I believe Potter 2.0 will win hands down. There will be some amazing "how did they do that" moments and enough immersive thrills that I just don't think Carsland has.

Some of the interactive technologies Disney is playing with for Avatar look interesting. I'm not involved with Avatar's main ride so I don't know what they have up their sleeve for that one. The bottom line is, so far it looks like Universal is going to win this round in my opinion.

So, I take it no one has yelled to the wall workers asking them when the dolphin lamps and lion heads are going to be installed?

I don't know why the lions are not done yet, but I would imagine the lamp posts will be las. Probably to allow any machinery a turn radius, when working on the sidewalks, and not get the posts damaged.
They won't take long to wire and bolt down.

I am happy they are replacing that old railing. Not only did it look like splinter hell, it was such a dated design. This wrought iron makes for a more reasonable transition.

They are pumping the water back, the damn should be taken down very soon. The water level is almost back to normal.
