Surprised it hasn't been mentioned here yet, but I've been alerted to clear my calendar between Oct. 21 and Nov. 2 by several friends, as Cast Previews of the area are evidently going to be held on those days. We should hopefully be seeing some great pictures of the area after the first few days.

Seems legit. Got a notice from Disney that AP Previews will be held before that Nov 19th date. So we're getting a Soft "Soft Opening".

You missed my point... go back to the picture. Everything in the background is fresh as a daisy, brand new, Disney perfect. The only antiqued item is the character cut out. It is inconsistent design. Either the whole circus is old and decrepit or it is fresh and new. Doing both does not work.

Big Top growing pains. Air didn't work yesterday. Popcorn lights out today. Food yummy.

Also, here's a video look at Big Top Souvenirs from Attractions Magazine.

No AIR :saw: Poor cast members! Idk what's the situation no employee should be forced to work a soft opened shop with no AC in Florida!

AmusementPics has posted a shot of the SDMT lift hill structure that now is covered with supports for the eventual rockwork/mountain facade.

I went over to MK shortly after Epcot tonight...that souvenir shop smells weird as crap. Secondly, with this FLE FL is looking VERY nice aesthetically, especially entering from Storybook Circus/Tomorrowland. The Castle walls in the distance entering that way really do look great. This has also made me recognize just how terrible TL looks in general in comparison to the rest of the park. Something's gotta be done to fix it up a bit because right now it's so...meh. The only thing it has going for it is the neon at night.

So...have they still not opened the indoor playground for Dumbo? I remember seeing video of it months ago, but I haven't seen any reports about it being opened. I wonder what the hold up is?

No, its been open for at least the last month, if not two. It just isn't all that spectacular from what I've heard (haven't ridden Dumbo since that opened).

was curious how the whole "pager" thing was working out, since it's a relatively new idea for theme park waiting

We tried it out a week and half ago. You walk up to stand by line which was the line to the right if you are facing Dumbo. You then wait in a short line that goes into the tent play area. At the end of the line is a reception desk with a CM handing out pagers kind of like you would see at a restaurant. You get your pager then head in and have fun and once it goes off you return and they send you outside to wait in the rest of the line, which looked like you had to wait maybe a ride cycle or two before you got on. We didnt end up riding and so we gave the pager back once out girls finished playing and went out the side double doors out of the tent. A fun idea but was a little too crowded for my little ones 1 and 2 years old.

Nevermind, I misread your post and thought you asked how it worked :bonk: As far as how its working it seems like it was doing just fine. Kids running around having fun and keeping busy all while waiting for your ride.

Most of the time (especially at night), it's pointless to wait in the playground. With two dumbos now, the wait is almost constantly around 10-15 minutes (maybe a little more on a good day), and almost no wait at night.

I think that'll change come peak season.

It would be more popular if it worked like Friday's, where you could wait at the bar until your table is ready.

It wasn't that bad during the summer at all (I stayed on property July 4th week). Then again, the rest of FLE will be open come the holiday season so I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight increase.

I think the pager idea is actually pretty cool for young kids. Much better then just waiting in a line. I assume that multiple pagers go off once the queue is emptying? They load one side, then by the time that's done the other side is ready correct? Pretty smart if you ask me. No longer will folks need to wait 45 minutes to go on a spinner.
