People dont understand what the difference between critical and troll is. So allow me to define.

Critical- One who can be nitpicky but only for the good of the company. Upholding the fantastic standards these theme parks are known for and generally broadcasting their disapproval from time to time in hopes of keeping them in check if they so happen to come across the content.

Troll- One who purposefully strolls through the site looking for and making trouble only in the instance that he/she gets into an argument/debate with other people. Simply put- Annoying nuisances who provide no more than purposeful, arousing comments that seek to disrupt the peace and harmony that exists.

Disney has maintained the standard of themeing in the sense of FLE. What they are not doing is living up to the standards of maintaining their property in a way that is geared towards bringing more people in (i.e. what Universal is doing.)

It just seems like he's ripping on everything Disney does, not been critical. Being critical would be pointing out a problem with something, saying how it could have been done better.

The thing that you seem to be missing (and this is why so many people are ripping on you for calling him a troll) is that he's a major insider for the Orlando parks and he has been a huge Disney fan for quite some time. He's probably one of the least biased people on this site. He has expressed what he believes could have been done better many times in the past, you just happened to catch a sarcastic post of his (though he does still express one of the things he thinks could have been done better in it).

Welcome to the Internet

I think you need to keep in mind that TDO and the rest of the Disney company are generally different beasts. Like DH said, TDA, generally speaking, has righted it's ship and DL Resort is running like clockwork. But soul crushing, dream stomping, profit mongering TDO is still playing WDW fans for fools. Building a pretty expansion with little risk or substance, and running attractions to the brink of being unsafe, only to finally refurb them and be showered with praise.

Yup. Those E-tickets like Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean sure do make MK feel like a Six Flags!

I was referring to whats being added to FLE....Not what is already there. MK is not the most visited park because of luck. Whatever they are doing, is working.

Whatever they did from 1971 to 1994 worked so well they can add dark rides and spinners for years. I don't think it has much to say about what they're doing now, but just how well built, built out, and thought out the park was for the first two decades.

I firmly believe Disney World is riding on reputation. The only reason to me AK or DHS gets more visitors than Uni is because of families who do the 4 park vacation. Most Disney vacationers come and don't come back for a long time, Universal doesn't have anything near that kind of reputation, and honestly never may.

Walt Disney World is popular because of 2 things.

The name

The reputation for being "magical"

and TDO will run on that as long as their greedy, green eyed, egotistical attitudes allow them to either that or when their parks are almost dead....idk..kinda like splash mountain

I honestly rather go to animal kingdom than universal. But I rather go to universal than DHS.

Idk, there is just something about disneyworld that makes it special. I guess that fact that there is so much space and it's like your really in another world.

I completely disagree with you. Disney has fantastic attractions. People go for these. But when everything is new, and you only average 10-12 per day, most people are fine with what they have now. The problem with WDW is that they stopped going for the non-DVC, repeat visitor.

From Disney Parks Blog

Disney Parks After Dark: Rapunzel’s New View at Magic Kingdom Park

This week’s Disney Parks After Dark photo, snapped by Disney Photographer Matt Stroshane, shows off a newly unveiled area in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park.

As of this week, Rapunzel’s tower from the movie “Tangled” now highlights the area that formerly served as stroller parking across from the Peter Pan’s Flight queue. While the building is actually a new rest area, its theming sure is detailed, with her tower and the lanterns she longed to see in the film represented. Looks like Rapunzel would have a great view of Wishes! Fireworks at night, too!

As much crap (no pun intended ) as this area has gotten, it's actually super nice, especially at night. Yea, it might not be an attraction, but heck...it's a lot better than stroller parking.
