but BTM is on a league of its own that I personally don't think rides like ET and transformers are comparable to. SDMT is very detailed and giant plot wise so how isn't it a E ticket? It's basically an updated BTM. I think alot of the E ticket arguments come from personal opinion of what makes a giant scaled ride. I'd call popeye and Dudley E tickets but some might disagree saying that they aren't on that level. I personally don't see small world as an E ticket either so

I always say and E-Ticket is a ride you would make a special trip to the park just to see..I would make a special trip just to see Spiderman, FJ, Haunted Mansion, Gringotts, Transformers, Mummy, Everest, yadda yadda yadda...

When it comes down to it, as much as I'm a man that likes theming and world building..people come for the rides, and minus FJ and Spiderman, IOA still leaves a lot to be desired..I'm a coaster person so I love Hulk and DD..I like to get wet so I ride Dudley and JP...if someone didn't though I could see how IOA would be a short visit

Kong of course will help change that

Hey anyone know what's going between Jurassic Park and Dudley? Maybe OrlandoInformer can fill us in? I mean they've written a ton of inside articles recently. I guess the gravy train must of stopped for them... Oh well...

Btw, it's gonna be freaking awesome...

Since I literally have no concept of space, especially judging by how I still can't wrap my brain around how Jaws/Amity gave way to Kings Cross/London, all of Diagon Alley, AND Escape from Gringotts after visiting..

How much space is back there for this Kong attraction/Skull Island? What other ride or land can we compare it to?

Thats why I asked about the budget. I Wonder if it's a land will we see a smaller attraction on a smaller scale included?

I would guess it's roughly the same size plot that FJ sits on.

I'm just posting this to get back the excitement of Kong that may happen in the next 18 months hopefully.

Per HTF
"The entrance themed to ruins with waterfalls bursting out of the façade. It will feature a massive themed “underground” temple queue surround among more ancient ruins. The tandem entertainment guided EMV’s will leave the temple and head out into the wilderness. Outside will feature large AA’s most that we avoid as our guide shows us the way on our journey. We then enter the massive sound stage where we will encounter numerous AA’s, giant insects, projected effects, live fire effects, and a host of other live effects. We will also see one creature utilize Kukas for arms that attack the RV’s. At one point even our driver is captured and were left to fend for ourselves in the wilderness. The final and very large scene involves the big man coming from multiple angles on both sides of the RV. "

I'm not big on the whole Tour Guide thing, either. Too many variables. I hate the idea that a TM can directly affect the ride experience. Sure, its great when you get a good one, but it can really blow when you get one who is sub-par, hard to understand, having a bad day, trying to be too clever, just isn't into it, etc.

Here's my opinion: Universal cannot win on this one.
When Jaws closed half the people complained that one of the only remaining rides with TMs was gone and the other half rejoiced. With Kong, some are going to like that there are TMs because it reminds them of the old ride, but others will either not like it or not have the old ride in their memory as a frame of reference. That being said, if they then see a lot of people on here bemoaning the idea of TMs and decide to pull that aspect, those who remember the old ride will complain that they got rid of a crucial factor of the original.
I am fine with either as long as it is good.

EMV's...that stands for Enhanced Motion Vehicle, no? Which means the car isnt just a GMR moving theatre-style vehicle, but a roving simulator a la Indiana Jones, right? If this is the case, I an extremely excited.

I don't mind Tour Guides and I appreciate the job they do, It must not be that easy (I know i could't do that) But I wouldn't miss them if they get rid of them in the rides that has them (like at Disney)

More than hating on a bad tour guide I hate the cheesy dialogue that the parks come up with. The best tour guide in the world couldn't make some of this stuff sound any good. cheesy dialogue is worse than bad guides in general.

if this ride has them it won't bother me.

A hybrid of GMR and Indy would be amazing..

I saw a concept a while ago of a GMR type car attached to a Kuka arm..that would be neat

To be more precise, in the treasure room, if you look to your left, it will be on the upper right side of the diorama.

It looks like this:
