Think about it guys - Dudley is 1 of 2 flume rides in IOA, which also happens to be right next to one another.

Technically JPRA is a shoot the chute ride :)

It is fun really to do them all in a row and get soaked, though I do understand most people do not feel that way. If they ever do get rid of Dudley, then I hope to see a flume ride next door in Studios. It is bizarre really to have three wet rides in the one park and none in the other.

We do the same when on vacation. We'll do JPR separate sometimes since we don't always get "real wet" on that. But we plan our days ahead of time when we're going on all three, and we dress appropriately. So it's really convenient to ride all three, and we'll usually do each ride twice when we do that. We're older but we love the heck out of those three rides, especially on a hot Florida afternoon. Most of the timeon vacation we'll go back to the hotel pools in the hot afternoons and not spend time in the parks. But on the days we do the water rides we change our agenda. I can't envision IOA without the three because they give the park a certain unique quality and a great way to beat the heat. I usually see pretty long ride times posted so I guess they're fairly popular, especially with the teenage crowd. Count me in the pro water attractions crowd. This is Florida after all, and the afternoons are a b_ _ _ h.

You dry after going on Dudley? The same day? I have jumped in pools fully clothed and been drier than on that ride.

That's for sure. It's probably the only water ride that i get completely soaked on, not just once, but two or three times. And I love it. I was a big fan of Jay Ward's toons back in the day (He's from our area, thus all the local mentions in his toons), and even though the scenes aren't up to Splash Mountains snuff, they are funny as all heck and very effective. The ride is just sooo much fun.

I'm gonna say it, IMOP dudley is better than JP. I mean popeye aside, there in no ride in that resort as fun as dudley. I love the gags, the theming is pretty close to it's subject matter (love its color pallete) and overall it's just a ridiculously fun ride to go on with your loved ones or complete strangers. That and the drops are wicked. Don't get me wrong I adore JPRA but if I had to pick one it would be dudley hands down

I mean this movie just gave Universal Creative so much material and ideas to work with...I can only hope they'd take advantage of that and almost bring JP in IOA up to speed/date with the movie that is coming out. There is endless of possibilities.

I agree that JP RA can be a bit boring, especially with what they pull off with effects on other rides. If they replace the AA's with new ones that are more dynamic it could help. And probably an extra gag or two along the way.

Anyways, what are the odds of the Amber Mine coaster coming back? Perhaps it could get an upscale, while still retaining the family coaster for everyone approach. It would be great with some top notch themeing- it could bring you through 'The Aviary', 'Amber Mine' and finally to see the Mosasaur from underwater using some innovative effects. Something like that could hit all the right marks, and drastically differentiate itself from the River Adventure.

The concept for JPRA is that you get to see the dinos... but those are a joke now. Add in more and better AA's and the ride will be fresh again. The whole opening lagoon is such a drag because they are static too long and look like crap to boot. Then the raptors rarely work like they are supposed to. Give us a second trex encounter instead of the scratch through the door (which that effect is soo cheesy now). Hell, put that super rex thing bashing his head through or something. And as a fun bit put a water dino in the first lagoon and have it jump out or do something. I want a jaws like aa in my life.

In the raptor containment area, make it into the holding pen for that megalodon-looking dino in which it attacks the glass and starts breaking it. You'd have to enclose the area and install a giant screen with a sound system, but it would definitely add a wow factor.

I also like the idea of another AA in place of where the scratch mark effect goes. Since it's closer to the vehicle, there could be a hot dino breath effect with several subwoofers to give that shaking roar effect.

Something missing from JP as well is some Dino vs Dino action - JP did it with the Rex vs Raptors, JP3 poorly explored the idea, and Jurassic World is going to play with it a ton. It would be neat to see what they can do it. Perhaps once things go wrong in the ride, or maybe it could be what causes things to go wrong.

Also, the Indominus Rex is just begging to be included in the park somehow.

Imagine this (but swap out the Deinosuchus with a Mosasaur)

It could add a little extra flair to the raft being diverted.

Next time you ride, take a look at those two raptor AA's that are tearing the shirt, I kid you not, they look like toy dinosaurs.

Do you mean the compies (Compsognathus) on the boat? They look pretty close to what they did in the original JP and are actually probably my favorite part of the ride.

Weren't they fighting over a Mickey Mouse shirt or ears a few years ago or is my memory faulty? The last couple of years it was the above.
