Does anyone have the exact measurements of the land DC sits on? Or even a comparison map to Hogsmeade/DA?

I believe it is going, but it seems strange that we'd get one ride on all that land.

Im not so sure it's going. But even if it is, a rumor I've heard is that it's being replaced by another coaster

The land DC occupies is slightly greater in area than Diagon Alley. I'm staggered by that.

Right, and before people let their imaginations run wild, I don't think you should expect anything on the scale of DA there.

Agreed, I'm just amazed by the sheer amount of land that DC occupies. I always assumed it was pretty small.

In terms of size, I could see it but if they go down the Forbidden Forest route, it's probably not going to be that difficult to theme.

I just don't think anyone should be expecting a "land", or miniland.

Just trying to keep expectations in check.

I think this must be a pretty difficult for UC to make, DC isn't in great shape and could do with a part/full track replace, we know that. However, if they do that they are then locking that land out of action for development for the next 10 years probably due to the cost of replacement, that being said, we've established this is a large bit of land that they're talking about and they have a LOT of different options they could take with it if they wanted to and if they have the resource (with the amount of projects ongoing at the moment I can't imagine they have a lot spare at the moment).

It certainly isn't a bad place to be in mind you.

As big as that plot of land is, I don't see it being anything more than an extension of Hogsmeade.

I bet it stays DC, and comes back dueling again. But this time like Battlestar Galactica. 2 different types of coasters. And no near misses. Close, but far enough away to not cause problems.

Have you heard anything about Great Hall as well? Or just another coaster?

I believe The Great Hall would end up where the JP restrooms and Pizza Pretoria are now.

Hogsmeade Village becomes Hogsmeade City as Harry Potter becomes a real estate tycoon in the next Rowling book.

If it were Disney, they would replace DC with a brand new Black Lake attraction where you get to row your own row boat across the lake.

To be clear, The Great Hall can go anywhere. Remember There are passages into Hogwarts from various locations in the book (Hog's Head, Honeydukes, Shrieking Shack, etc) so as long as you aren't entering directly from the village to the Great Hall, I'm sure J.K.R would be okay with it.

That parcel of land is so large though, they could build the Quidditch Pitch on top of the Great Hall, with the forbidden forest and lake on one side and on the other, more hogsmeade such as the shrieking shack

Jungle Skip, with something big, do you mean the possibility of a redo of DC a la Hulk?

A rip-off of Radiator Springs Racers with a Ford Anglia ride vehicle taking us through the Forbidden Forest would be pretty cool.

Ah ok. I'd miss DC because I love that coaster (more than I like Hulk), especially the Blue track. That being said, I guess I'd be ok with another coaster replacing it, and I do like Disneyhead's idea of using something a la Battlestar and have two different types of coasters; non-inverting sit down and wing rider combo would be nice.

I hope if they rebuild the ride (or a different coaster) they can somehow change the pathway so it's not such a long walk in/out.
