Nintendo Coming to Universal Parks

Wasn't it that @testtrack321 saying that they wanted it to be a 2020 date? I can be wrong; but it may not be as much of a delay, per-say.

Originally the insiders were saying this was a 2018 opening project. Now it's up in the air. Now that could be just assumptions someone made and were wrong, but I'm just looking at it from an alternate angle.

No, not really. The buildings are on the other side of a highly used backstage road used for the parades and just general access. While the land is just across from ET, if it were ever to be used for park usage, it would likely be another attraction in Hollywood.

I really don't see Universal saving Nintendo for the third park as its first appearance in the parks. I think once Kong and Hulk are open they start demo.

Lets not get out of perspective here. While Nintendo might be a big deal, this is not an IP that you give your whole new 3rd park to. I'm not sure there is any IP that gets that. Star Wars would be the closest IP to whole park status, and I can't even see that.

While it doesn't need to be it's first appearance, it could be replacing the castle and mario kart ride with something else and putting them in the 3rd park.

yea I didn't mean to say whole new park but if a major land is made from Nintendo I think they have a good shot at going head to head with the mouse , I'm not saying this as a fanboy but Mario is as well known as Mickey

And gamers would spend every last penny on merchindise and never leave the park , Nintendo fans have a different type of attachment than any other and would go crazy to see an immersive type of environment in person

I have a feeling it's a case of practicality that they haven't closed and demolished Kids Zone yet. They NEED that capacity with the numbers the park has been drawing, and with 3 attractions gone (Disaster, BJ & Twister) losing another show and several other attractions (even if they are geared towards kids) would really hurt right now. It may be everything will have to wait for Jimmy Fallon to come on line before they'll start working on anything else...

For those saying there's not enough space to do Nintendo justice in universal studios... this is an image NOT including E.T nor the warehouse used for TWD house in the past which i'm pretty sure if needed they would use this space. Many are judging this space not realizing how much DEAD SPACE there is in this area.

Back when this news was fresh I kept looking for survey markers in Kids Zone. Never saw any. Has anyone seen ANY survey markers back there? These normally pop up long before any work begins.

Oh it will, on both accounts.

USF has plenty of things to do IMO. All the rides there besides Shrek and for me DM are ride multiple times of able.

Diagon has plenty to do, but I take it you mean rides. In that case, there's nothing to worry about. Nintendo will have more rides than Diagon does.

Ahhhh gotcha. Yeah I wish Diagon had one more ride but I can still walk around there for awhile.
