Since I am here solo today I timed a few cycles. They tend to run every 2 to 3 minutes at this time.
The people saying it will be open by end of summer or saying Universal has until the end of summer since no date was announced are not insiders with any knowledge. They are just stating worst case scenario and more joking than anything else.
There is no credible information out there that Universal will miss their end of June date or that we are anywhere close to worst case scenario.

So, for Gringott's the media preview was June 18-19 (though the ride broke down the 18th & no one could ride the 19th), limited soft opening for special guests June 30, soft open to all July 3 & grand opening was July 8, right? Media preview for Kong is set June 23, so don't you think a similar schedule is likely?
No it won't. Gringotts was going to grand open during the media event time frame, but technical issues caused it to not be this way. It was also going to soft before the media events. King should follow more a traditional pattern with softs before media previews and grand opening right around media previews.

All they said was it'd be open by then, not it will open then. I'll be open by December, doesn't mean it's opening winter 2016
Only the people on site in their lil Kong Kostumes will know when it is opening imminently. That and the top UC management of the attraction. After April 29, all bets are off.
Avatar was never delayed though... It was going through R&D up until construction started in 2014.
Just for comparisons sake, Kong started R&D back in 2011 or so, correct @Teebin?

And It's not just the English that like scones (or scons)
But it was? When you announce construction is supposed to start in 2013, and it doesn't in 2014. That's a delay.
There will be a by-pass inside the building from the loading area. Instead of turning left to go outside, it continues on through a shortcut and starts off where you would "enter the gates".
I agree, that was a delay - one they probably hadn't accounted for as there was a lot of rumors with trouble behind the scenes with working with Cameron. The main problem was they announced the project way too early.

I was saying it will be open by September, as in it will open in June and be running easily by Setoetember according to the current info.
