So the numbers I got were 30 passengers per screen for the four screens (don't know the movie runtime), 21 six-passenger boats for the 4~ ride. Everything relatively low capacity for Disney attractions. I also heard the queue for the FoP is designed to hold approximately 3 hours worth of guests.

Bad news, if true on capacity (either 30 or 48, times four screens ...low for an E ticket. Plus seating looks like it could be slow). Kind of forget riding either one unless you have a 60 day fastpass window staying at a Disney Resort hotel.

Boats hold eight passengers each, so it's a bit higher capacity.

Word on the street is no "Disney" in the area, so no typical name tags, instead they wear the expedition company logos and such.

Not really. Assuming there are in fact 4 theaters with 48 seats, and a new cycle starts every 7 minutes or so (5 for ride, 2 for load/unload, almost all simulator rides have a 5 min run time), that's 1632 riders an hour. On par with Radiator Springs Racers and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train which both average 1,600 RPH.

If it is only 30, that will bring that down to less than 1000 per hour, closer to Frozen/TSMM numbers.

and both have really long standing line times even years after opening.....Plus, this may not be a smooth boarding operation from the looks of things. 7 minutes might be too generous. :)

Star Wars 9 is releasing in May 2019, so I doubt that'll worry them. Infact it'll likely entertain a November/December release more.

It will move 100%

Avengers Infinity War part 2 (Avengers 4) opens that May. disney would be stupid to put out there two biggest movies of the DECADE in the same month.

Its not smart to push selling toys/Merch at the same time for the mostly same Demo.

The capacity numbers being thrown around here - if even close to accurate - are pretty unacceptable.

There doesn't seem to be anything acutually holding you in. Would anyone just be able to get up and walk off the ride. The fact that there seems to be no back support is making me think it's going to be really tame.

Perhaps there are leg locks in place, similar to Manta or Gringotts?

i would bet quite a bit of money that some type of device comes up in back and your legs get locked in

I believe this will be Disney's first attraction with a test seat in front of it. Expect it to not fit all body sizes...

You know, I was actually starting to worry a little myself, but after watching the Nightline segment it occurred to me that the producer isn't that skinny himself, and he seems to fit fine:

Still, looks more cramped than most Disney rides for sure. I never stopped to realize Disney has no test seats out front of any of their rides. I think Mine Train might be one of the tightest fits for me personally at the Disney parks. I almost feel like that one should have a test seat out front.

Disney is spending A LOT of advertising money on this land. At least here in Central Florida. It doesn't matter what channel I have on, I see the new commercial almost every commercial break.

There's an ad for it during almost every single commercial break during the World Baseball Classic games on MLB Network.

Does the commercial ever say it's at AK? I remember it says WDW resort, but can't remember hearing AK.

I don't think it really matters. Everybody knows WDW, not everybody knows what AK is.
