Yes. They start making it when you tap the "I'm Here" button and then your phone notifies you when it's ready at the window.

Since normally it takes 2-3 minutes (at the most) to get your food after ordering at Disney quick service, I imagine that's all you'll have to wait using this ordering technique. I'm sure some guests will hit the I'm here button before they actually arrive, but all that'll get you is cold food that's been sitting in a window.

It looks great, but I wonder if some of the choices are going to be a little too "out there" for some guests - the same guests that go to Epcot and look for burgers and chicken fingers.

DAK as a park is "out there" for the average park goer, tbh. Especially when it comes to dining. Most quick service offerings are not the typical burgers or pizza (Only Pizzafari or the QS in Dinoland serve those).

Look at Tiffins and the Harambe market as well for recent food offerings at DAK. They are trying to push the boundaries of theme park food, it would seem.

Most (?) of Disney's new dining options seem to be pushing more adventurous + upscale food. I'm thinking that Disney is building for a slow demographic shift towards a younger upper-middle class crowd. Plus, if Disney keeps getting more expensive, they'll be competing with international destinations, high-end all-inclusives and the like for visitors.

Are you saying don't worry cause there's a rumor that blackout dates for weekday/silver/gold passes will not matter for this preview and we'll get to go anyway... Or are you saying don't worry becuase this rumor is completely unjustified and there's no way they'll be doing a preview 1.5 months ahead of opening? Cause both seem equally viable.
