    The Little Mermaid (Live Action)

I watched this yesterday, and wow kind of shocked by how rough it was. The rotten tomatoes score is similar to beauty and the beast live action but found this so much worse. I think Halle is a good singer but her acting was very flat(maybe director's fault)? Especially noticeable during the...

    The Little Mermaid (Live Action)

I think it might lose some money on the box office. Needs to make over $700 million to break even which appears pretty unlikely, but I think it will easily make up that money lost on continued public awareness of the mermaid brand, merchandise, Disney Plus etc

    Busch Gardens Williamsburg

yeah I'm pleasantly surprised by the theming. I think the capacity is unforgivable though. They should have just done traditional seating because 10 per train is ridiculous for such a busy park

    The Little Mermaid (Live Action)

Last remake I watched was Beauty and the Beast which I enjoyed mostly. I definitely won't watch this in theaters, but will check it out later probably. Reviews are pretty rough even the "fresh ones" ones are mostly 3/5, but that typically doesn't matter for these remakes. Expecting still a large...

    Disneyland Resort

I like a lot of the changes. However, there could still be a lot more tree cover. With the area around the fountain, I'd appreciate if it had 4 circling trees instead of just lamp posts.

    Disney's Snow White (Live-Action Retelling)

I hate to be that guy but the songs and score for La La Land were composed and orchestrated by Justin Hurwitz while the lyrics were written by Pasek and Paul. But yes totally understand your point that you can make something sound "vintage" or "classical" through orchestrations

    Disney's Snow White (Live-Action Retelling)

Alan Menken collaborated with Pasek & Paul for "Speechless," and Menken was the one who wanted a more "contemporary" pop sound instead of Broadway. Menken made the choice to have all of his original Aladdin orchestrations completely gutted to sound more modern Pasek & Paul are definitely...

    In The Heights (2021 Film)

"'Our experience, which is backed up on ‘In the Heights,’ is that if the movie hits a high level in theaters, it hits a high level on the service,” Goldstein told the outlet. “If it hits a low level in theaters, it hits a low level on HBO Max. They’re really very comparable.' That suggests that...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster - Reviews, Photos, & Media

Any reports about the stall? I've read it has lots of laterals but wondering how pressed against your seats you are (negative Gs)

    Snow White’s Scary Adventures Upgrade

They purposefully wanted to get rid of 2 of the Witch appearances and the scary woods. I think they made the right call IMO with the extended ending, but would have liked a better transition especially musically between the cauldron to the witch on the cliff scenes. Maybe if they included some...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster - Reviews, Photos, & Media

Yesterday we were worried about ever getting a POV and literally the first day of guest previews we have one. Life really does find a way

    Snow White’s Scary Adventures Upgrade

This is very much improved but on video the mirror shattering looks kind of hokey. Wish they just went with a storybook stand showing Snow White biting the apple (and put that in the cauldron scene) and just had rain and lightning where the mirror is currently. The added figures and music though...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Was just going to ask about that. Also, there are already a number of coaster reviews on twitter for anyone ok with being spoiled

It all just seems so unnecessary? You can still clearly see the roller coaster behind those trees. I'm also worried it'll stop the breeze from reaching the patio

Why was this even necessary? If they wanted to block some of the view why not just put some flower boxes on the railing
