Just jumped on real quick to post this exact thing. Somebody sent me an email about 20 mins ago saying softs could start at any minute. Looks like they did.

I'm at the park right now. Temporary walks are up with no one in the area. Think the reports of soft openings were false

Also they have a massive temporary extended queue stretching all the way through pacific point preserve, I'm guessing they are expecting giant crowds this weekend

Yeah, with this expansion now and Wild Arctic being as old as it is, i'd love to see the ride get a massive overhaul with a new theme replacing the current one. It needs it.

This place looks simply breathtaking. Will be visiting in just over 2 weeks. Experiencing Antarctica and Transformers the same weekend! Can't wait!

While this snow-covered attraction looks similar to Wild Artic, both are vastly different. Nevermind the ride systems, but the animal encounters of both are "polar" opposites. Antarctica is NOT a replacement for Wild Artic. Nor should it be. While I admit the ride video of Wild Artic is outdated, the animal areas are top notch and well themed. I'd like Wild Artic to get a HD upgrade and new story for the ride experience. There's no need to kill off this under appreciated attraction. Besides, SWO's next addition is going in the former Clydesdales' home. Someone did mention Wingrider...

There is an electronic billboard on Turkey Lake Road just past Sand Lake that has an Antartica ad on it. It shows the number of days until it opens. :thumbs:

Thanks for posting those pics, Fun! :thumbs: Looks great! Looking forward to seeing this Saturday! I fear I'm gonna be among huge crowds with this just grand opened, coupled with the fact that it's Memorial Day weekend. But it'll be worth it, though :thumbs:
