They started serving spirits in Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom in 1967.

Like is said earlier in this thread, if I'm going to sit down and spend $30 a plate on dinner, you better damn believe that I will want a bottle of wine with it...especially if it's French cuisine. Alcohol is not the enemy, Wine and Craft beer pair so well with food, alcohol is also used to Make several French dishes. This is Disney doing the Right thing, not the wrong.

Just look at the beer list...there is no Budweiser (although Kronenberg is basically Frecnch Budweiser)...I'm really impressed they have Chimay, as well as a Saison. Really nice beer list...wonder how long it will stick

- - - Updated - - -

If they started selling yard beers outside of Small World that would be different.

I really hope they bring that beer list to Gastons tavern, would love a nice Chimay while waiting for my Dumbo fast pass

If you're slowly but surely reducing the age group you're aiming at, at least let the adults have a few brewskis at Gaston's!

Reminds me of when I took my daughter to see "Barney Live!". It was a 2P on a Sat. and the smell of alcohol in the arena was noticable.

LOL, those poor parents. Like I said, I don't think it will effect the park at all, especially if it's dinner only, and in the restaurant only. All those people on WDW Magic boards are WAY over reacting.

It's kind of funny how this very topic came up, only a week ago.....

PS - I got a new Iphone..well next Friday I will.

Where does a guy keep an iPhone when he is walking down the street? Seems like an awfully long piece of firmness to be shoving in the pocket.

I don't know, maybe his pocket?

The new Iphone isn't much bigger then the last one, it just has a taller screen.

So glad I woke up at 3:00am to pre-order. It sold out in an hour.

anyway back on topic....

"You cannot walk into a French restaurant and not get a glass of wine or beer," Bisienere said. "It made more sense to do it than not to do it."

SEE! This guy get's it, this is almost exactly what I was saying oh so many pages ago.

People on other boards keep trying to be the voice of reason and sanity, but other members (such as on WDWMagic) are for some reason bringing up irrelevant arguments such as of likening alcohol to secondhand smoking, and their the ones that keep getting their posts liked by other members.

Anyways, cool about the track going in on SDMT!

Super duper track placement, Disney!! Btw, if I see another use of the "slippery slope" logical fallacy on those other forums, I will :censored: a brick. Best just to not look at them, I suppose.

FIRST LONG HAIR, NOW BOOZE!!

In all seriousness...I'd just like to know what makes it ok for Disneyland to serve booze in a restricted fashion, but not Magic Kingdom? Disneyland is more Walt's baby than anything.

And the argument people are running with for that question is that Club 33 is so restricted that it's not even on the same level as serving wine at BoG.

With how reservations have been... I'd put it in the same category.

Well, hopefully the next update on blue parking cones gets them distracted.

Also, to add on to that. If I remember correctly... there is no "half-pregnant", right? You're either a dry park or you aren't, correct? Just making sure...

And when all of their idiot reasoning fails, they resort to claiming that even doing this takes a :censored: on Walt's memory and wishes for the Magic Kingdom.

Yes, and Epcot is an abomination because it's not an actual "Community of Tomorrow".
