I thought the restraints determined the height limit. Millenium Force is 310 feet tall and it only has a 42" height requirement.

Wow Millenium Force is only 42"? :jaw: Restraints are definitely a factor but I was just thinking height, speed, g-force, those type of elements would factor in as well.

I think the fact that the carts rotate will add to the thrill/fun factor a little bit.

It might be 48" instead. I don't remember.

edit: it is indeed 48". My bad.

That's right I wasn't thinking about the mine carts themselves swinging and moving adding to the thrills.

That's cool, I was surprised but didn't know. I haven't been to Cedar Point since Magnum XL200 was the tallest roller coaster in the country but am still itching to go back.

How can we judge the thrill factor when it's not even close to done yet?

Well you can sort of judge it when one part of its thrill factor has been already made public

I don't think the swinging carts will make it particularly thrilling. I do think it'll make for a fun, unique experience.

It's a nice little family coaster that I'm sure will be gorgeous when it's done.

yeah..maybe not "thrilling", but I think it should add a bit to the fun factor, to take it above the typical kid coaster. This will be Thunder Mountain JR.

They haven't even started sculpting the rockwork yet. This thing has a way to go still. But It does look to be extensively themed.

Don't know the full schedule, but they know they're behind. The goal is to repeat what happened with the rest of the expansion this year: aim for a holiday soft opening, then grand opening later. Once they get the steel and track up, then the rock is going to fly on.

Thanks for the picture updates and while I look forward to seeing this ride completed, it's unreal how slow Disney is moving on this. Still I think once it's done you're going to find a majority of guests really liking the the theme of it and the area around it. Please keep up the picture updates and I appreciate the time all of you take out of your daily lives give us these updates. Thanks again.

The bathrooms look like they're coming along nicely (aside from the obvious eyesore that also ruins the view from another area of the park), and oh I still see a certain coaster doesn't have rockwork hmm how interesting. -____-

Why are they moving at a snail's pace with this? The sooner it's open the sooner they can make money off it!

We went to Magic Kingdom Friday morning and the first ride we went to go on was Mermaid so my wife and kids could go on for the first time. So of course we get back there and there was signs all over that it wasn't opening until 1pm that day. We go back around 1:30pm and it was an hour wait :bang:

We left after that to head back to the hotel for a pool break. I went back later that evening but my wife and kids stayed behind.
