I still never got why they couldn't use Emma Watsons voice for the HE. Harry sounds very similar if not identical on the train, but the look people have when they hear Hermione talk is hilarious. Can't they just bring in the actor to the studio, redo the recording, and add it onto the train now?

They would have used her voice if she agreed to come in to record it. She didn't.

I would assume that when they made the contract for Forbidden Journey, it could've been for one time only.

Could a new one be hatched for Daniel and Emma? As if I'm not mistaken, Rupert was the only one from the original trio that came back for Gringott's.

I think, that it may be possible for a new contract; but I doubt it.

This is seriously stupid of me, but that gets me kinda mad.

Edit: there are a lot of fans who look up to this series and they don't even hide that fact that they aren't interested in the franchise anymore. Like, just do it for all the people who look up to this brand. If they did have successful careers/ acting jobs then they shouldn't be worried about having one certain image.

I don't think Universal could even have predicted how relevant some of the IPs in IOA have become again. It's a good place to be for the people at Universal creative.

Whilst I agree it's a good position, it can also cause issues. When people hear of a Marvel themed land, they now expect something of Potter immersion, or even Pandora. Not what's offered (I say that in context of it hosting 2 of the best rides out there)

I see both sides, tons of actors have been "type casted" after a hit movie, possibly making it difficult for them to find more roles/jobs/money in the future.

I know someone like Bredan Fraiser had a tough time getting out of the "air head" "George of the jungle" type roles, Mummy being one of the few instances....

Someone that's smaller time that this is happening to currently is the actor that plays "Rafi" in the show "The League" -- everything he is in, is basically his Rafi character with a different name.

that gravy train can/will only last so long. I can see why some actors, especially young ones would want to distance themselves from what made them popular almost to say "hey Hollywood I am more than just Harry Potter" -- as he does stage shows, R rated indy movies etc to stretch that out as far as possible.

I think people would be expecting something to do with the MCU but I agree, that the whole land needs an overhaul. I hope that the MCU never makes it's way into IOA as it can date the land incredibly fast if it all goes belly up. If Spider-Man wasn't based on the comics, we could still be looking at Toby Maguire.

I like the idea that the main Potter cast probably won't be in the new attraction. I think it adds longevity to the land.

Honestly I think they've used the main cast enough..I wouldn't mind seeing some secondary characters host a ride to round it out a bit more....Hagrid, Alastor Moody, maybe a crazy funny ride with Gilderoy Lockhart

I think after dealing with Diagon and only being able to get Grint to come back, they'd be crazy to try and use the trio as main characters in an attraction again

Actually CG with photo mapping (in the ride film.) Ron looks like he filmed his part because his movements look real, especially in the first scene with the Trolls. Harry and Hermoine are a bit stiff most of the time, and look like the bad swinging CG Spider-Man from the Tobey Maguire films to me when they do move; fake.

Pretty sure they just used stand-ins for the silhouette sequences through the office windows of the queue, similar to the train window scenes on the Hogwarts Expresss.

It holds up well in 3D and is usually far enough away (using the forever perspective of the medium) that it looks pretty convincing. I just like picking apart visual effects.

And I can understand former child stars trying to distance themselves from a property and tired of pretending to be kids for years after its over. Can't fault them for that.

At least they did Forbidden Journey and posed for the promotional art used in ads, billboards and even the shopping bags at the parks' gift shops before cutting the cord.
