So what's today's UK pound vs. the dollar rate? And has the price of Haggis risen since the Brexit vote?:)

It seems to me this would be a logical location for a 2019 project.

Just thinking that 2017 is VB and Fallon at UO
2018 is F&F at UO
2020 is Nintendo at UO

I think it makes sense for IoA to get a new addition in there somewhere and with 2019 being a gap in the schedule at the moment and that area being ripe for redevelopment it would make sense, plus give another boost to Potter as the HM and DA will both be old hat to many guests by then.

Maybe somewhere in there IoA also gets a night show on the lagoon as well?

There is that underused TL theater area, how is SLoP coming along?

I mean they did survey it a while ago didn't they?

I haven't heard a peep about it in a while. No reason they may not do that and a new Potter attraction in that time frame.

The current exchange rate is about 1.25, up from 1.21 at the start of the week and haggis is holding steady. They can't risk the rise in the prices in fear of a national revolt.

If WDW is celebrating their 50th birthday in 2021 and it could be a golden year for Orlando with visitor numbers, Universal is going to be very tempting. Nintendo and possibly a 3rd HP attraction?

At the very least, I have to think IOA will get a nighttime show by 2020 and i'm sure at least one ride as well.

I would think something happens with Dragon Challenge before Nintendo opens. Either a refurb or a new ride.

I've still got my money on some kind of Great Hall component on that land nonetheless.

Back onto the topic of DC though, what would people think of a potential involvement of Mack Rides and the Inverted Power Coaster for the replacement? They can easily do something that is an Indoor/Outdoor (the outdoor is shaded to allow rain) Family dark coaster with the Inverted Power Coaster tech from both Arthur and the Incredibles from Europa Park and what seems to be the case for HTTYD at Motiongate Dubai.

For example of the technology in work;

Perhaps we can keep this onto the topic of DC and it's future whether it stays or presumably goes?

I really felt that either UNI or Disney would have done very well to use this technology. It could have been used as an option for any IP as it is family friendly and still has a few mild thrill elements. I think that this ride as a tour through the Forbidden Forest and then a second ride (maybe go with the Ministry of Magic) could really round out that area back there. I know that Forbidden Journey covers Forbidden, though. Maybe a tour of the castle instead going through class rooms and also into the various dormitories.

In my opinion, I think that if they were to replace DC with a coaster; it'd be from Mack. They are highly reliable, there are a variety of coaster types to choose from them that'd be a Orlando first and that they are quite a bit enjoyable for what they are.

An Inverted Power Coaster in particular; is one I think will be seen in Orlando in the future, but I would suspect Universal wanting to use that. It leads to a lot of potential, and perhaps with working with Mack and an external party; they could have the arms be capable to do more than just rotating on the axis, to further enhance the technology one step ahead of anything else in the industry.

I love the concept but I think it would be too similar to Gringotts but then again, I can't see such an extreme coaster being removed and not replaced by something similar.

I am actually surprised that you would think of it being too similar to Gringotts. Could you elaborate on why, because i actually find that fascinating.

To me; I don't see that many similarities to the Mack Inverted Power Coaster and the Intamin Dark Ride/Coaster hybrid that they did for Gringotts, as they both power in different ways. Hell, I'd say that this is more similar to FJ as opposed to Gringotts, and I think that's a good thing.

That's a good point, I'd say it's a hybrid of the two. I think most people will break it down to the fundamentals that it's a coaster type ride with screens and a motion base.

While true, I have to think that they'd mix practical effects and screen based visuals for something like the Inverted Power Coaster; almost like how Arthur does that in Europa Park. Perhaps Motiongate in Dubai is just going to have screenz (as it seems that their HTTYD E-Ticket will be from Mack).

I mean, I wouldn't oppose it. There's so many options available. It's an exciting time to speculate.

Can this be a new E.T. ride system? Looks like it would work better.
