EDIT: Well, no, I hope nobody's right and they're not shoving Guardians anywhere it doesn't belong and give it its own state-of-the-art attraction, but that's not the Disney we live with nowadays, is it?

Why would you want a ride overlay vs. a new ride. If they use Energy they will use the building, but it will be a whole new ride.

I'm saying if they're going to do anything with Guardians, they should do a totally new attraction. Not an overlay, not a replacement for something, and not anywhere but Hollywood Studios.

But you were hoping TT was right when he said it is going into MS, so this confuses me. The other rumor is Energy which would be a while new ride, just using the existing building.

If the choice is between Space and Energy, I would choose Space, in the desperate hope that Energy would then hang on long enough for a new Disney management regime to come in and do something appropriate with the pavilion. If Space gets an overlay, that at least makes a tiny bit more sense, and will be much more easy to change back eventually. Or would be easier to justify just outright closing to replace with a better Space pavilion.

I'm standing by Mission:Space over UoE replacement.

I don't see it for M:S and I don't want to see it. The only reason I could see it happening is because it would be cheap and create lines where there aren't any. UoE would be akin to knocking down Disaster to build F&F. Not talking ride specifics, but just in scope. Sure it may be technically in the UoE building, but UoE is HUGE. Gutting that building would pretty much be a new build.

I'm throwing my name into the M:S betting pool over UoE. Mission:Space was themed they way it was so it wouldn't be too expensive (training facility) replace the film with GOTG film and WALL-E WALL-A! Your newest Epcot ride.
I've been researching all things Mission Space all afternoon!

Certainly not UofE.

But if it ended up being M:S, it could be done next year (new versions of Test Track, Star Tours and Soarin were all completed in 8 months tops). They seem desperate to get GOTG in anyway possible.

It could also just be a few imagineers giving out false info because they know Epcot is in the dumps and trying to stir the pot.

As with timeracers, as with discoveryland,and even with Norway (they said it wasn't happening when I was saying it was) - they are wrong.

They may have sources - dunno personally - but they are not the powers charged with Epcot's portfolio. If anything they're a group who wants it and is being told, repeatedly, they can't have it.

Um, I distinctly remember both of them confirming Frozen in Norway and never once saying it wasn't happening. I know because as a fan of Maelstrom I was following those rumors very closely.

I dont remember if it was on parkscope or another site but they specifically broke down why legally gotg will not come to disney. If anyone has that link i would love to take a look at it again it was a great read, especially to send to all the pixie dusters out there.
