Does anyone have any idea how tall the sound wall in the back is?

and if they're going to at least try and freaking paint and hide it! Get those Kong mural artists to the sound wall ASAP!

I'm still holding out hope for a flat 3d-style rockwork to cover most of it, then the remainder that's visible get painted by the muralists.

I thought it would be a forest mural. Is the top not shaped like trees?

Yes. I meant that I hope there's rockwork from the bottom to like the middle, and then painted trees poking out the top behind the rocks.

I'm estimating around 50-75 feet. The dragons were 125 feet, and they definitely rose above the wall a bit.

With the right amount of foliage it does look like the top of trees

I swear it used to be more green back when IOA first opened as well

I think the Potter coaster will restore the wall to its former glory...ish.....It's still kind of ugly haha

I believe the outside on Turkey Lake is still green. We can all go out there on the sidewalk and stare after we take a spin on the coaster.

They've been there a while. Why? I have no idea.

I guess I've just never noticed it before. Maybe with the chaos of the lockers, etc, I just glossed over it. So many times I'll see pics and think "ive never seen that there" even though Ive been 50 times.

Funny thing is that sound barriers along interstates now have texture to them. Seems like they could use something similar and paint it. Obviously, make it more jagged to make it seem more like a cliff.

There's a slight grade change there. I guess people fell before so they put yellow lines so people know there's a small hill.

If dirt and dust is still in the air I expect to painting. It'll mess up the paintwork. It will probably one of the last things they do (just like Kong). I hope the expend the forest with the mural to make it look even more bigger.

I'm very curious what the look of the forest will be. In the films, it's dark and gloomy, as if cloaked in perpetual night, populated by exaggeratedly thick tree trunks.

Will they be attempting to recreate that darkness?

I've read that Puzzlewood Forest was Rowling's inspiration for her fictional forest. A decidedly more cheerful looking place.

I wonder if we will be getting a very different portrayal from the films.

I think the wall should either be cut again along the top to have the shape of mountains instead of trees, and the trees behind it trimmed for the perspective effect. There's also two layers of metal, so that could help with dimension.

Also, badlactose, I think that this is more meant to be the edge of the forest instead of the actual forest. I think if it were Forbidden Forest, we'd have an interior dark ride. But since it's already featured in FJ, I'm not so sure they're trying to go for that here, for better or worse (because I would have absolutely loved a walkthrough FF queue).

I am very interested to see the external theming around this attraction. Dragon challenge to me always looksed like a roller coaster with a little bit of external theming.
