Jack's Funhouse bad? I highly disagree. Was probably the most under rated house of that event.

Agreed, Clown o Vision was a fun house to walk through, granted not a lot of scares, but it got you disoriented which was a lot of fun.

But some of the others Hate listed are the top of the list of bad:

Cold Blind Terror
Dungeon of Terror: Retold
PUTS: UC
The Skool
Orfanage

But I'll add to that list Chucky from 18, it was bad IMHO and Where Evil Hides didn't do anything for me either, it was pretty meh.

But I disagree on Vampyr: Bloodbath, I thought it was a damn cool house even if there weren't a lot of scares. Just like Run:Hostile Territory, not a ton of scares, but you felt like you were in the movie Hostel.

It was a damn good house when I went through it. If you haven't noticed, spook tends to dislike just about everything about HHN but still continues to go every year....

First I don't Kiss HHN Butt when they make crap houses and zones. I tell my opinion which is my opinion of the event. If you liked Maximum Carnage that is Great IT SUCKED IN MY OPINION. It is my opinion. I have done this event 14 years, no one pays for me to go I pay my money to also do the backstage tour. I have visited Haunts all over the place not just gone to HHN. When you visit other haunts and see things that are out there you will understand why I am critical of some of there ideas. I complain on when any haunt does anything bad I was very disappointed with Busch last year and thought it was one of there worst years ever. I also gave HHN last year high marks and thought it was one of the best years.

Also I go because I enjoy going to hang with the group of friends I have done this event with for years. I am not a fan of how HHN lies about non peak nights, over selling the event and having to be slammed against other when I walk through the houses. Not a fan of People telling me to hurry up (flashlight Nazis) Universal doing little about people who smoke and line jump. Sorry I don't like the same thing you like But I give you a little Challenge find some high dollar haunts and go to them and see if you can understand why I expect more out of this event.

I would take Orfanage off the hate list in my opinion. That house was downright scary when I went through on my second run. My first time through I would agree with you on the hate but the second time it seemed to be amped up to be one of the best houses of the event. A lot of great surprise scares even after seeing the house once. The house definitely had the best atmosphere of 2010.

HHN does one thing better then anyone HYPE. Yes hatetofly you did list some classic Crap houses(Jungle of doom Hot chicks saved it, Fear Factor House was equally crappy as MC) But sorry Maximum Carnage was just to me the worst maybe I caught the crappy cast maybe it was I had to wait in line 30 minutes(back in the old days that was a long time on a non-peak night) But that it is my award winner of Worst House of my 14 years going. Also wow when you list all thsoe crappy houses(and I agree with you on everyone of them) and I go back before the ones you posted it is amazing how many bad houses HHN has really had. With what you put also goes into my theory of HHN time at IOA was some of there worst houses of all time.

Yeah there were some bad ones but some of my favorites also came from the IOA days. Houses like Scream House, Scary Tales II, All Nite Die-In, Psychoscareapy, Castle Vampyr, Hellgate Prison, Body Collectors, and the Terror Mines were all from the IOA era.

I must have went through it on an off run because I remember being let down. Then again with houses like A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dreamwalkers, Friday the 13th: Camp Blood, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dead Silence, Psychoscareapy Home for the Holidays, and the Thing it had some very tough competition. Now that I look back man XVII was stacked with some great houses. To bad the atmosphere sucked

This is where HHN differs for so many. I went through this house at least ten times during the event and I didn't think it was scary at all and IMO lacked cast creativeness. With several areas to hide it seemed most of them just hung out in the same places and were often right out in the open. Come to think about it much like Psychoscarapy was last year as well. But if you enjoyed it then hey I am glad someone did.

Orfanage certainly had the creep factor going for it, but the scares just didn't arrive....it was a vast improvement from Reflections of Fear though...I would say Friday the 13th:Camp Blood was probably the best house in the Jaws queue, but then again I've only been to HHN since 16.

Yah, unlike many that was one of my favorite houses that year. I didn't care if it was scary, it was suppose to be a "Fun" house and that's exactly what is was. The only thing bad about it was the fake looking Jacks at the end.

I hear that. And the inflatable birth-canal. I Haaaaate when they use that thing. It's so gross feeling other people's sweat sandwiching your body as you push through.

Lamest houses of the years since I began going:

2007- Vampyr. And I can say that (I was in it).
2008- Bloody Mary. How about some mirrors and... maybe even the Icon showing up?
2009- Spawning. No dead bodies anywhere. I wasn't even sure why I was supposed to be scared of them. I mean, they seemed more afraid of me than I was of them.
2010- Hades. I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but the house flat sucked. A "Hades" house without Hades? Or even Persephone? Or Cerberus? Or Hydra? What really irked me was the misplaced characters throughout the park. The living statue in "Legendary Truth" belonged in the Medusa room where human statues actually matter. And the three Fates on "The Coven" street? Why not put them in the Greek house where they belong??!

Oh wellz.

My faves, however:

2007: Dead Silence. This was the scariest house to date.
2008: A tie between "The Hollow" and "Creatures." I love horror with a since of humor so Creatures was a nice breath of fresh air. The Hollow was just such a true-to-form haunt. And I totally dug Samhain.
2009: SilverScreams. The Shaun of the Dead and "Medieval Dead" scenes really stood out and The Strangers creeped me the hell out.
2010: Catacombs. I'm a history major and naturally got a kick out of entering a haunted museum exhibit.

Getting back to speculation, this was just posted by HHN Orlando on Facebook:

We know you have been waiting. But trust us. Very soon, all of your demands for information will become shrieks for mercy.

So I would say we are about a week ago from the first teaser site, I absolutely cannot wait.

HHN DEFINITELY is the best when it comes to building up excitement about the event.

Right after the club (first room) there was a hallway that lead to a shirtless fella getting tortured on the bed by two vampire gals. I wasn't that guy BUT I was one of the vamps that leaped out from the hallways doors just before him.

shrieks for mercy.

No but seriously, in 2007 I was in Gainesville when the first teaser dropped, 2008 I was in North Carolina when a big update happened, 2009 I was in New Mexico, last year I think I got off but it seems this is going to happen again.

For those of you wondering if there might be a weekend update the answer to your question is, "No, there won't be." I'm hoping for Tuesday.

You can tell it will be a little while longer. That is why they directed it to the typical event page. Keeps the fans at bay when asking the same questions of why hasn't the site updated yet?

They need to answer that on the generic page!

Q: Why haven't you updated the site yet? A: Because we don't feel like it....

Quick Update: They once again started up reviews on the permit site. Should be done by the 29th.

From HHNRumors:
Also, it appears that Universal has returned to Wild Indigo for their TV spot. Hopefully this means the return of Dean Karr.

I just want the dates. I have asked for time off and I am betting on Sept 29th being the first Thursday. Also Will HHN be open on Halloween this year? I mean it is a Monday.

Well the scarezone into a house rumor is pretty legit from what I've gathered.
