A few discussion points in the meantime before any official news hits.

1) The houses in the Jaws queue are generally viewed as weak (though I personally enjoyed Saw in '09 and Orfanage in '10). Since the location will most likely be used again, what can be done to improve it? More actors? Better effects? New layout?

2) 2010 saw the exit of the old icons, but Universal will probably see the monetary value of one or a few of them returning in the future. Who should return and when? What kind of storyline do you envision? Or should they return at all?

3) Returning to IOA comes up a lot, but Harry Potter now factors into the decision. It's not likely J.K. Rowling would approve a scary makeover for the Wizarding World, so what should be done? Keep it open and untouched if HHN returns? Does the vast number of crowds become a problem? Maybe even keep it roped off entirely even though WWOHP brings in a lot of money?

1. I think the only house that has really worked in Jaws Queue recently has been Camp Blood back in 17. It utilized the location and it's potential perfectly. Since then, it's been kinda weak. Reflections was terrible. Saw was good when you went thru at the right time and the Orfanage had it's moments, but it was very repetitve. The problem hasn't necessarily been location, but just execution.

2. Personally, I think they should stay buried now and let Universal take HHN into an all new era with new icons. The only problem is that Jack is the horror equivalent of Mickey Mouse to the event so I'm sure he will be back. Just let him stay away for 5-10 years, and I mean completely away.

3. It really all depends on JK's decision, and what they can do with Seuss Landing. I don't think the event will ever return to IOA if JK and Geisel's fam say No. That's just too much empty space. I do think though that a seperate Halloween event, as many others has said, will make it's way to IOA and will be much more family friendly.

I think the most interesting thing in there is a mention of a miniature golf course. Is uni building a haunted golf course?

Tiger Woods is the HHN 21 Icon :pound:

As you walk past the smoking wrecked SUV and through the front door of the mansion facade you encounter a drugged up Tiger and a crazy blond woman wielding a bloody pitching wedge....spooky!!!! Then you get your putters and colored ball and start the mini golf course at that point. Sounds great to me!

Use Internet Explorer. With Firefox or Chrome it doesn't show correctly for some reason.

With the whole Mini Golf thing, wasn't there a rumor to look to demolish the old Hard Rock Building or do something new with it? Could it be that Universal will make it a yearly minuture golf course that includes the past of HHN. So like the HHN Vault but a minuture golf course.

SAs could be dressed up as the props, like the windmill and different stuff.

Could be pretty cool

There is one in Winter Garden. I only know this because my job thought they were going to be a HUGE competitor when us, when reality they aren't. I digress though, I think a great premise for a a Mini Golf Haunted House would be for it to be built on a burial ground and then we could have some specters and skeletons and then the props that are alive as well. This is actually a sick idea. I really hope that happens.

I guess finding the mini golf Haunted House corse wasn't a total bust.

Anyway, I think Universal would benifet from a mini-golf corse. I hope it is a little scary than all glowy. :look:

I emailed him, and he answered back claiming that he has nothing to do with HHN this year, but he said he is open to return eventually.

Those dates match a haunt event....and even has the pre-opening Thursday that usually is Employee Preview. If he signed on a contract with Universal he probably has to sign a non-disclosure, the "Amusement Park" thing is vague enough where only people like us are going to figure it out. I'm pretty sure it's HHN and he just can't divulge.

Although....there are no Wednesdays. I still think it's HHN though and they might just be going more of the route with his show this year that they did in 2007. Where they had other acts for the Freak Show.
