That's where they put the stage last year, which of course went up early for Rock the Universe.

Either way, it's good that the stage is being up; even as is with Rock the Universe.

Well, there's going to be a show there for HHN.

Oh, did I say that out loud?

Rock the Universe is returning this year the 9th and 10th. Are they setting up the same stage in the same place again this year? If so, is that a good thing? I guess it means we might get another show, but lose potential scare zone area and also get additional foot traffic in that area that takes away from the other scare zone over there.

I really hope that show isn't Jabbawockeez.

No, you said it as quietly as possible.

I would assume that we will get almost the exact working that they did from last year's event.

I'm thinking on locations for scarezones this year..and I really don't see there being any loss of scarezones.

With the way it was set up last year the Evil's Roots scare zone last year was way too crowded at times. I think there has been a scare zone there every year I've attended and last year's foot traffic over there was just unbearable to me (not to mention the metal dividers that were in the way). I'm thinking this year we might get even more guests at the park (considering the lineup). I'm definitely not looking forward to what that area and the MIB area are going to look like.

Yeah I expect a repeat of last year. I didn't initially think that was a good location for the show but I liked it, it seemed to work really well and the get the benefit of using it for both events.

I think I said it out loud the day Chance was announced. Of course that was just speculation, not based on any knowledge.;)

Mine is, but I've still not been given any hard reason to believe it's Chance yet.

So an icon with no show. That would just make no sense

Remember the uproar when Bloody Mary didn't get a show? And then Usher didn't... And then Fear didn't... and then Lady Luck didn't... do we even count the Iniquitous or whatever they were called?

The only icons to date with full-scaled shows have been Jack (07 and 15), The Director (13, and it was just the Fear Factor bug gag), and the Sweet 16 icons "Arrival." That's it.

With how tiny the space is I couldn't imagine it being any bigger than let's say the purge auction or something like that. I still believe chance has some sort of show or presence. I mean when the overall theme is theater it would be a huge missed opportunity

while the facts are stated, the massive popularity, reaction and praise of the last show was big. And with chance being apart of last years show I feel like we are at a different era at how icons are presented at HHN

Even with how tiny it is, the stage we got last year for Jack was still quite big. I don't see any negative effect happening for the show this year, as I believe it will be on Chance.

You also said something that should be important; at this point, The Carnage Returns has seemed to have such a roaring appeal, particularly on Chance and the actress herself. Much like James Keaton; Erin embraced what the character is and how she played off with James and the audience to where the crowd's loved her.

While that doesn't make it certain that she will be having a show, Chance is at a position like Jack to where a show may need to happen for her; as they are in characters similar in many way's. I can be wrong but even I know that it would be pretty dumb to not have a show on the character; but I guess we'll see.

I have a friend working Midsummer Night's Scream this coming weekend who was told that the producers of American Horror Story asked to have their panel moved from Sunday to Saturday. This MIGHT be significant as Saturday is the day HHN is doing a panel. The fact that the American Horror Story panel is all about make-up that was done for AHS: Hotel makes it seem like this would be a good time to have Murdy drop by and say, "We have been working with these guys to get the creatures just right."

Of course, this is all just speculation, but my friend keeps getting winks and nudges when they ask about it...

I didn't count the Arrival because it didn't feature an individual icon like Jack and Director. And even the Director was a tiny stage he worked by himself. Jack has been the only icon featured with a full-fledge production of his own.

And that's my biggest argument against her getting a show. They're not just similar, but nearly identical. So the flaws with a show featuring Jack are the same flaws you'd find with Chance.

And the biggest issue is that both characters HAVE to have someone to play off. They're both loud, aggressive, and dominating, and give them no one else to talk to (besides the crowd) just turns them into a barker or stand-up comic (or magician). Any of those things won't be given the same reaction because the banter isn't there. Jack always played well off Chance because they were the same. Now, who does Chance have? Does she imagine Tiny? Does Universal really go out the with TWO Chances on stage?

But that's the issue, and it's a pretty glaring one to me. That's I've thought from the Chance reveal she'd be a barker in her zone and that's it. That would (in my mind) be a better use for the character because she can actually play off the guests. Regardless of talent, giving one person a stage like Carnage but no one to really interact with will play like a sad, lonely girl struggling to make friends.

I may be wrong. But if I am, watch it be because she imagines Cindy to work with her.

I don't think past icon precedents really apply here at all. They are trying to look at what worked well last year and continue and improve on that. Mike Aiello said one of the biggest challenges for this year is trying to top last year. The Carnage show was a big success and I think they were looking for a way to continue that. Ultimately I think that's the reason they chose Chance and even chose to have an icon at all. Certainly the show won't be just her. I'm sure there will be other characters for her to play off of, she'll just be the center of the show like Jack was last year.

Another big HHN reveal today for one of the sister events. The Website went live today for Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 6 showing their new original Icon, Lady Death. One of five houses is revealed on the site Old Changi Hospital in a cool interactive game. I miss those. It is based on an actual haunted hospital in Singapore.

SonicWALL - Blocked by GeoIP Filter.

Although only that one house is revealed on the site Singapore media and blogs were given a press release that revealed the names of the other four houses but NOT the two scare zones which remain a mystery.

Two shows include a parade (I miss our parade!) and a show featuring Jack.

All the houses are originals! You can read more here at this site: dejiki.com
