I was the one person who liked 2022's psycho-billy music loop. "Another Way Out" is a bop and I refuse to hear this slander.

Last year's mix had some EDM / TikTok Trap Beats that were legitimately grating and aggravating to listen to towards 1AM. My group remarked on it multiple times.

I wouldn't mind a return to the official OST's being used as event loop tracks. 2017 was the last time they did that, and it definitely added to the crossover feeling of everything. Unfortunately, Ghostbusters is kinda the only IP this year with any recognizable music tracks, unless they wanna use Tiny Tim or something haha.
yeah I hear you, I think that even if the movies this year don't have great music, universal always used from other movies. or from movies similar to the ones used that year, or recognizable themes. but at the same time, even if these ips don't have recognizable songs,
for me hhn feels more proper and more official with movie soundtracks, feels more like a theme park event.
I remember when they used songs from red dragon or the book of Eli, those songs stay with me.
my favorite time of all time is when they used the song from 28 days later, that was the greatest song they've used. felt epic.

movie songs feel more epic, kind of? they definitely stay in my head much more, even 12 years later. I don't really remember anything recent. ( I watched and purchased frailty because the song was used for hhn) that's how good it sounded

This thread rides until we step into the houses and see that Team Weeknd has failed or triumphed.

Joking aside, with this spec season essentially at a close, I just wanna say it's been another fun yet crazy season! Thank you to Brian and all the mods for keeping things civil and tidy, and of course a big thank you to Legacy and all the insiders for feeding us lil treats into what we may see in the season. You all are awesome. :)

See you in the Fog everyone!

Having a World Expo stay-n-scream is cool. Having it enter through Lombard's is... certainly a choice.

I don't think the entrance at Lombard's for the World Expo location is weird, since they could possibly divert the S&S guests through the waterfront path in front of London to reach World Expo by the Amity restrooms/FFL theater. That's a pretty big open path for them to use. Now compare that if they tried having you enter from the other side, where you have Simpsons ride, Coke, and MIB, all busy areas which they need to clear daytime guests/ops out and overall are a much narrower path.

Having performed in 2020 oddly enough I felt safer working that period of time than any other during Covid (especially compared to how ops was handled). I can’t speak for 2021 but I think it was an unfortunate necessity.
I would have much rather the guests be required to wear masks walking through the house. The plexiglass and masks that the scareactors were wearing took away from some of the houses. Beetlejuice and Haunting of Hill House most notably for me.
but 2007 is my all time favorite year. 2007 was so long ago. yet I remember it so fondly.
2007 was one of the greatest hhn years for me. seeing Freddy, Jason and Leatherface was a dream come true. seeing the Thing, it was truly amazing.
2007 really was one for the books
2007 was my first HHN, so I wholeheartedly agree. But I have a bit of nostalgia bias.
I've always thought a good idea for S&S would just be to open up the queues for a few houses and utilize the queues as holding areas.
Reminds me of opening night for 31. The hotel entrance led us to Hellblock Horror and we walked through it before the event even started. Then we were in the park and got in line for Halloween. I loved it.
For what it is worth, these are the houses from Parker’s words.

Of course. None of the ones I’m super excited about.

Entrance at Minion Cafe Courtyard for NY is.. interesting. Feels like kind of a pointless change but who knows!
All I can think is anticipating massive lines again, at least opening weekend. Rather than stretching the queue up past Fallon and Macys, use that back alley and the lakeside path, easier to cut off to exiting traffic.

More curious what Lombards entails. Just the hidden bar? Or will the zone itself stretch to Alcatraz/Richters?

Also the placement of an extra food truck in Springfield is now curious.
