must've been REALLY serious for them to completely shut it down and affix temporarily-permanent signage versus just having down time and running one or two trains or something.

Things to remember,

1. Without a doubt the most complicated ride system conceived
2. Universals track record for producing cutting edge attractions with little to no downtime is second to none
3. Preventative Maintenance happens quite frequently especially on coasters. 95% of the time it can be fixed "after hours" but other times it bleeds into day to day operations. Gringotts is the most popular and sought after attraction in the park and possibly the world right now. So it's issues are magnified into the spotlight ten fold.
4. Safety is always the number 1 priority for Universal, there isn't an argument here. If something as simple as a single bolt came loose on a support that had 50 bolts the ride is shutdown until they understand why. So while it may be an inconvenience at the time it's worth it to prevent bodily injury to a guest.
5. Hey look on the bright side maybe they're fixing a few things we really would love to see. I mean I'm sure they're using the time very wisely while working 24 hours a day.
6. Be respectful, the team that created this attraction put many EXTRA long days in to give us what we got and it shows. So don't throw a hissy fit and be disrespectful cause they're protecting us the guest and safeguarding their 100+ Million Dollar investment.
7. Better now than during a peak time ala Spring Break which is around the corner

I understand. I feel like after 2 days of closure, an announcement should've been made.

Ummm, and I'm going before spring break to avoid the crowds. I guess that backfired on me.

Just saw a picture posted on Twitter by @AmusementBuzz showing Gringotts as still being closed.

With the doors shut down on the entrance and all of the security guards standing out front, it reminds me of the good ole' days of this past summer of the Diagon Alley soft opening.

Hopefully this will be open tomorrow as normal like Kevin38 said.

Fingers crossed they adjusted the RV's restraints, cleaned the screens, and fixed the fog issues. Also hoping to see the Marble Hall and queue audio cleaned up! Oh soooo excited, may have to swing by in the AM

As Mad Dog said, I worry I might have jinxed it by my verbose post on its original issues the day before or the day of. On the other hand, I know that I have no such jinx power. I will accept that it was just a timely post.

So for anyone going this weekend that's been before I'm curious if there will be a noticeable differences. Or if it was all behind the curtain fixes.

Funny, we got here yesterday mid-afternoon. We went to Cowfish for dunch (lunch/dinner). We went to IOA and did a few things...I sort of follow my family's lead...we took the train over to the studios getting there 30 minutes before close, but never headed to Diagon ( that's what I find funny).

If I didn't read these forms or if i didn't watch the local news last night (where they mentioned it should be open for the weekend) i wouldn't have even known it was down during my trip (if it is open today), but we have ridding before so it was not a priority to go see/ride.

OI has a story on the shutdown. They claim that the Kuka arm moving the fog ending screen malfunctioned during testing Tuesday night and the car crashed into the screen, damaging it. They said the ride is operating today without that screen or effect. Anyone know if this is accurate?

HTF didn't mention anything about a missing screen on twitter this morning:

Gringotts show lighting appears to be brighter and all effects were working! Ride looks great!!

Also appeared as if the screens were cleaned up on Gringotts! Looks like its brand new, great to see Uni keeping the ride in mint condition!
