Except for the kuka arms still being down the ride worked great yesterday, heat and water effect were perfectly timed.

I've probably been on Gringotts 5 or 6 times now with the in-cart audio not playing. Fundamentally ruins the whole ride. Timespan for all these instances goes from November to last week. What gives? Shame to have repeat bad show experiences on such a new and important attraction. This bugs me a million times more than the Kuka arm.

That sucks. I rode it 3 times last week, and the audio worked every time. Not sure what that's about.

Never had real problems, just once it happened in the first scene with Voldermort that the audio was out of synch with the video.

One thing that I keep wondering about: right after you launch at the end of the ride, the cars turn around a bit and you see a little bit of a cavern. I originally thought it was the room with the projection dome that we just launched out of, but I looked down at the track and this wasn't a part of it. Does anyone know what this is for? Sorry if this has been already discussed, but I'm not prepared to go looking through 105 pages of comments.

It's the cavern that you go into before the trolls after the first coaster part. Idk how it's so hard to hang a black drape to block It.

I prefer being able to see for a split second. It gives a greater feel of movement. In the dark, the feeling is dampened.

So is there anymore news on the Kuka screen? If it was a broken part where would a replacement be coming fro and how long would it take to get there? I really don't want this to be permanent.

I know a bit but I am still shooting in the dark a bit and I have to be careful how I say it. It is either the kuka arm itself (which seems unlikely) or it is the reporting by other sensors that the screen is out of the way. I cannot imagine that the system relies on just the kuka itself to say everything is ok, but that it requires other sensors to confirm it too.

I am sure the fog complicates things.

Well thanks for the insight Teebs. As long as it is something that they are actively trying to work on I'm happy.

It'll be fixed. Just a matter of when.

Great, fascinating even, if not a confounding tech article. The eye catcher for me was, "when it works correctly". HA!

Thanks for posting MPF.

Thanks for posting. That's a fantastic article. I love hearing about one of the highest-tech rides in the world having such humble beginnings. It hits for me as a life-long theme park fan who used to push people around in an office chair strapped in by belt to simulate a ride.

So is the kuka arm still down? I hope this isn't universal's yeti... And selfishly I'm going in 30 sleeps I hope it's fixed then.
