Yes, and here's a video:

Does anyone know if these are self driving cars (Mr. Toad) or if the guest drives them (Autopia)?

Yes, that is Treasure Hunter from the Mummy area of Universal Singapore. And can you imagine anything that can send an 6 year old boy into hyper-bliss more than a jeep you can drive.........with DINOSAURS!

That would be fantastic!!! Would take much land either so it's possible. If I were a little kid and went on a ride like that I'd probably fall in love with it

This idea sounds awesome! Universal needs some sort of attraction like this.

I'm pretty sure they're self-driven, because a lot of the animatronics seemed to be timed with the cars and I think the track is a Linear Induction Motor.

The Singapore talks brings up an interesting point. I vaguely remember reading that Singapore had an exclusive on all of the Singapore-only rides for a couple years. Are we approaching that date? Could we see any of the Singapore rides come to JP in some form?

See those hippos...make them dinosaurs haha..

Seriously, they could call it Dino Spotters and make a challenge to find every single dino along the track..they could even make it like the old Pokemon snap game and have indoor photo snappers to take pictures of each dino..would add to re-ridability

That is a very cute little ride... The AAs would only need to be just as rudimentary, much like JPRA. HA! I notice that very few moved at all. 3 year old or not, I would love to see a giant dino chomping on a bloody baby dino. That would be educational wouldn't it?

That said, I think this would be a wonderful idea. How many do those wee little cars hold?

By the looks of it it's 2 at the most witch would definitely give it pheradon flyers syndrome. The AAs would have to be a LOT more complex than the ones in that ride or it'll fall flat

So, is this something you think should happen, or something you heard may happen?

If the latter, it seems the Amber Mine idea evolved once again, embracing younger ages but adopting dark ride like appeal.

Id rather the Amber Mine over what DH posted. Only because the Amber mine would be more family oriented? From the way it was described.

And Does Universal has a time limit with rides? A Lot of Disneys ride are good in time on ride (Which I think is beneficial for the wait and experience as opposed to Universals typical 3 minute or less rides. (With the exception of a few of course)

It is actually a really old concept that became Treasure Hunters in Singapore. That is why this picture cracked me up the first time I saw it.

Ohhh, interesting. I still could see the concept being resurrected, with the target age being widened to avoid another Pteranadon Flyers. Perhaps it could hybridize itself with the Family Coaster/Amber Mine concept, even if it re-themes to the Gyrosphere.

If they made them real Jeeps like in the movie and with animatronics that actually move, it could be awesome.

This would be good. Universal can get another shot at making animatronics again.

Yeah more AAs!!! If only JP was at the studios, then that would help USFs animatronic problem by a ton

^ Both true, but I think Universal could always use some new, Jurassic themed Dinosaur AA's.

Considering the rumors of them feeding the Mosasaur with Great White Sharks I could see them recycling some of the Jaws props..
