I don't consider Jurassic Park River Adventure to be a "true" water ride. Sure it's in water and there's a big splash, but the chance of getting wet is hit or miss. Plus, it's main purpose is not to completely soak you like Dudley and Popeye's is.

True. I honestly never think of it as a water ride.

It's a ride that involves basic flow of water to maneuver ride vehicle lol. Water-Ride.

I never think of it like a Dudley or Popeye..but yes it's a Water-Ride lol and hopefully when they refurbish Jurassic Park River Adventure there will be some more interesting AA's or water moments. I atleast think there should be a new scene and a few new AA moments.

Duh. It's a Small World is therefore a water ride. So was Jaws. But it's not a ride where it's sole purpose is to soak you to the bone, like Dudley and Popeye.

I don't classify it as a "water ride" in the same sense as Dudley and Popeye. Or Grizzly River Run, Kali River Rapids (which still fails to soak you, but it tries) and Journey to Atlantis. I mean, all of these have amazing theming and all that, but their main purpose is to get you wet.

Like, I would consider Splash Mountain and Jurassic Park to be very similar in the fact that they rely on telling the story first, and the wetness (if it even happens) is just secondary. Maybe I just have a weird way of looking at it... :blank:

'Water-Ride" covers a wide range of attractions. But for the most part, MOST people consider a "Water Ride" to be one that involves a considerable amount of "wetness". Spider-man has water effects, but is not considered a "water ride". It's A Small World doesn't get you wet at all but some consider it a "Water Ride".

Not sure if this was posted before but what are the odds of something this size fitting inside JP? DH or Hate, care to chime in?

Unfortunately, it is too large to fit the area that tricerotops currently inhabits. The sandy area was BGrizz under construction.

Love the idea of something similar to Big Grizzly. That would be great in JP.

Doesn't have to be an exact replica, but IMO, that's exactly the kind of attraction that IOA needs.

Still leaves the option for a similar, yet slightly more compact, coaster (or coaster/dark ride hybrid ) behind Thunder Falls. Especially if it's a multilevel structure housing it

^ True. I think the reason I was more sold on an Amber Mine theme going into the Triceratops area is that it could have parts that it would literally back up to the mine like tunnels of CJ. If you anyone here hasn't been in those tunnels before, you should go take a look to see how much they have the look and feel of the Grizzly coaster interiors in HK.

Oh, I agree! For me, the best case scenario would be a coaster/dark-ride hybrid, going inside the mines, which could be plagued with creatures like bats, and rats, and escaped dinos! It would be a few stories, whether it's a couple levels from the ground, or including underground levels, too. The longer ride length they can make it, the better!
